Lovely large property with lots of parking and plenty of space for a large group of people. Great size kitchen and plenty of fridge space for drinks. Games room was great for a break and multiple rooms with TVs and dvds to hang out separate to the group was nice. Good area for walks.
Fantastic week in this beautiful character-filled property. As a family of 7 adults now living in two separate households, we needed lots of space to keep socially distanced for a week's break during the Covid pandemic. Hamps Hall had the ideal layout as we could all have our own room & bathroom. Two of our party, who were slightly more vulnerable, had their own 'wing' with separate staircase to their ensuite room. We all like to take turns at the cooking and the kitchen was huge and well equipped. The dining room has one long table which allowed us space to keep the households apart but still eat together and the three long leather sofas gave us plenty of room to sit and chill and play games in the evening. The countryside is amazing and we enjoyed some great walks along the Manifold Way, Dovedale and a bit further afield to Mam Tor. Two of our party are keen rock climbers and we all spent a great morning climbing at the stunning rocks at the Roaches. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting out in the evening in the garden. The foosball table and table tennis table were also well used all week whenever there was a spare moment!…
We were at the barns for 3 nights for a stag party of 20 people. The barns were well presented with everything you need for a party; loads of fridge, freezer, dishwasher and oven space, two big kitchens and dining areas and great entertaining spaces. The layout of the bedrooms in each barn was ideal for all parties with singles, doubles, twins and triples. There are a few pubs an hour walk away that serve tasty food (The Lazy Trout and The Ship Inn - Wincle). Would have been even better if there was a decent sound system but otherwise can't recommend the barns enough. And the beds are super comfortable!
A huge house with everything we needed for the long weekend. Very easy to find despite it being down some beautiful long country lanes. The house itself had plenty of space and bathrooms for all the guests, games room was a bonus! The rooms were old fashioned but exactly what you want from a house in the Peak District, it brought charm to the house. It was clean, tidy and in a beautiful location. The perfect get away from the rest of the world! We had a BBQ outside by the grass and had the benches to relax on all day through, great place to look up at the stars. There are local shops not too far away for anything you need and lovely walks and trails nearby. Plenty of parking.
Excellent facility in a beautiful location, the Peak District National Park is on its doorstep. The house is well equipped providing everything a large family group requires to make your stay a pleasure. There are plenty of places to visit and walks to do. Loved everything about this party house and would recommend it. My family had a wonderful get together 😀
