Farcical. In Bangor for Ulster Fleadh, Nine of us including children in for a meal, waited 45 mins for first course despite being told of 10 minute or so wait. Service was rude and unhelpful, to top it all we were overcharged to the tune of £10. We pointed it out and as is our right chose not to tip... More

Stayed here 3 times so far this year. Usually 2 or three nights. Have breakfast in one of the cafes it's nicer and cheaper. Not enough natural light makes for oppressive looking corridors! Returned to my room on the third evening to find my door not closed and therefore open to all and sundry. The pillow had not been tucked... More

Stayed at this hotel as part of an Ireland motorbike tour. This hotel was a solid find. The price was very reasonable booked through booking.com and included a very substantial buffet breakfast with the option of a good Irish cooked breakfast as well. The gym and pool was modern and well maintained. Bangor itself is very small but is also... More

My wife booked here for an evening away together. Located in centre of Bangor near the harbour. Found our room a good size and clean. Bathroom a little dated but spot on. Comfortable bed. Staff v friendly. We also had our dinner in the restaurant which was very good with views over harbour. Hotel bar was lively. Breakfast was first... More

I visited this hotel 2 weeks ago for a dinner with friends. The food was excellent. The service was very friendly and polite. Prices reasonable. We had pre- dinner drinks in Nelson's Bar, belonging to the hotel. I had requested a table overlooking the Marina when I booked and this request was granted.

Nice hotel but could do with a bit of work to modernise it! The key and door handle were a bit old and needed replaced. Very pleasant and helpful staff at check in and check out and throughout our stay. Nice views of the marina and good location to the shops and bars in the town.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views over Bangor marina. The food is lovely and staff very friendly. In Bangor center so close to food and shops and also a lovely walk along the sea to Ballyholme beach. I would stay again.

Hotel is clean but old, the furnishings and fittings need to be renovated. Staff were ok. Receptionist told us we had breakfast included, then in the morning they told us no it costs extra. Good location though and a good night's sleep.
