Altonlea is my home from home. As a single woman travelling for work I need somewhere which feels safe, homely and welcoming.....only problem...the incredible breakfasts aren't good for my waistline. Great place by the sea, Easy to get into Hartlepool where the marina and museum are a must

We've just returned from a short break away in Seaton Carew, just south of Hartlepool. We booked bed and breakfast at the Altonlea Lodge Guest House, mainly because of its very close proximity to the sea front, intending it to be "just a base". Wow, we were both very pleasantly surprised! Our room was on the ground floor, with access to the lovely garden area. The bed was so comfortable - best night's sleep EVER! Breakfast was amazing. Our hosts, Ollie and Lee, couldn't do enough for us. We can heartily recommend this hotel.

Excellent service from beginning to end owner carried bags to the room and advised me on times for breakfast and if had any preferences, could not fault the breakfast more than enough to see you through the day. Room clean will be staying again

Yet again another lovely stay at this guest house. We were made to feel so welcome. Spotlessly clean and the breakfasts provided by Lee are fantastic. Ideally placed for local pubs and restaurants and walks along the sea front. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Stayed several times at Altonlea now, always been great, rooms are spotless, breakfast first class and covers all tastes. Lee and the team make you feel very welcome and nothing is to much trouble. All combined with Seaton Carews breath taking beach across the road.
