Lovely ambience... set in beautiful grounds....... bery clean and well kept. Food was sensational, although 4 courses were served very quickly. Would reccomend it, tasty, great service and reasonably priced. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon!

Well worth a visit, we, a party of six found afternoon tea at the Hardwick worth every penny. Beautiful surroundings, pleasant helpful staff. They really made us feel special. One of our group was a wheelchair user.

Had a carvery lunch here. Food was very good, both the roast dinner and desserts, good choice of well presented, nicely cooked and good choice of desserts both hot and cold. Only downside on our visit, was service was almost non existent, walked in, no eye contact, no hello. We asked what looked like a senior member of staff whether we... More

I was there for one night to visit peterlee for business. Nice old Manor on the country side. Not good for business. I arrivés at 23:00. Everything was closed. No way to have a diner... I'll probably come back for my holidays. No problem to park the car there is a big field in the back... ... And you can... More

I purchased a weekend here on a Groupon deal. It was a great deal including two nights bed and breakfast in a standard room. The hotel is full of charm and character, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The grounds were very pretty and there were tables and chairs outside to take advantage of the lovely surroundings. Our room... More

This place was beautiful. The building itself, inside and out. The history is amazing. Everything about Hardwicke Hall was good, except the bed. My husband and I both suffered from a stiff neck afterwards but I don't complain about stuff like that. The food was glorious, the waiting staff all young but very helpful, the bar staff made some cracking... More

Beautiful grounds and a wonderful view. Our evening meal was very good indeed, all the meat was locally sourced and cooked beautifully, we had complimentary champagne( it... More

On arriving I was a little concerned because the car park was quite rough and I thought the hotel might be the same. The hotel has old world charm and the gardens/ grounds are very pretty. I was pleasantly surprised because I was expecting a regular hotel room, but I was given an apartment. It was very spacious and attractive... More

On arrival we were made very welcome, and although we had pre booked a table for our evening meal we were able to bring the time forward without any problems. Our rooms were lovely and clean and very nicely decorated. The addition of bath sheets rather than bath towels was a nice touch. Both our evening meal and our breakfast... More
