Food top draw, staff friendly, the best thing is they also allow you to eat..... We have used Ruskins Douglas Hotel for some time now, and would recommend the hotel where our family stay when visiting from London, they also find the location and facilities excellent..... 5Star plus

Second time I have visited hartlepool to see a friend and stayed in this hotel. I thought I got lucky the first time but I certainly did not. More than happy with both stays. I stayed in room 4 and it was massive! Had a very clean en suite, double bed, sofa, coffee table and a massive tv on the...

What is the difference between a hotel and a b and b? I would say en suite was not guaranteed in a b and b and you might expect a lower standard of furnishing. Well, this is certainly not the case for the Douglas, so I don't know why this is listed under Hartlepool B and B's in tripadvisor. A...

We stayed for the one night, first impressions are deceptive, at first you walk in and you think this a dated, but the rooms are superb and quite modern, we were allowed to check in the morning when normally only after 2pm but we arranged via email prior to visit. Breakfast was superb as well, definitely a great little hotel...

Nice hotel clean and friendly, easy to find and good food. We've stayed twice now and would recommend it to people. The bar prices are on the expensive side but there is a Wetherspoons pub round the corner

We have just returned from a weekend stay at the Douglas. I was very impressed with this very reasonably priced hotel; the breakfast was excellent, the hotel was spotless and the rooms modern and smart. The staff were all lovely and helpful, giving directions and suggestions of places to go. We took the dogs who were made welcome and had...

I stayed for one night whilst on business. I made my booking through bookings.com, but when I arrived, the hotel had no record of the booking. Luckily I had a copy of the booking confirmation. I asked where I should park, as the only bays I saw required a permit to park. I was told that the hotel was full...
