Just come back from a weekend stay . I felt sorry for the staff who are trying to run this hotel . They do their best . nice friendly girl at the back of the bar . but she's running a losing battle . hotel is filthy . rooms very outdated . mould on windows . no pillow cases on... More

Myself and my wife had visited Morecambe in July with 2 of our grandchildren on a day out. We hadn't intended staying overnight but on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year to date, we decided to try and book into a hotel and stay a bit longer. One of the first, and most reasonably priced... More

Me and my mother stayed in this hotel because all the hotels in Lancaster were fully booked. The one positive thing was that the staff was friendly. Upon entering our room we found several long black hairs in the beds and on the floor and in drawers. My mothers bed sheets were not clean and the drawers were dusty. The... More

We had only booked for a one night stay which was good as I would have been horrified if I would have had to have stayed any longer. Everything was basic - the decor was tired, old fashioned and not particularly clean. No draught beer on sale at the bar. When we asked if there was any entertainment on at... More

Just returned from 3 night stay in a very small room. En-suite looked newly refurbished and was clean but no toiletries as advertised on website, not even soap. The bedroom itself was quite shabby with chipped paintwork, curtains ripped at the top, and a warped bathroom door that wouldn't close however much we pushed and pulled from both sides. I... More

The room we were offered initially was tired and looked a bit grubby, we asked to be moved and was offered another room that had been refurbished that was fine. Looks like the owners are new and are doing work on the hotel. The drinks at breakfast were self serve and though there was only a hand full of guests... More

We weren't expecting much from the hotel and we certainly didn't get much. The good points are the friendliness of the manager and the location and views. Other than that the room and bathroom were dirty, beds and pillows not particularly comfortable and that there are no towels provided and when we mentioned it the response was 'you haven't brought... Stopped a couple of days at this ideally located hotel. The bed was very comfortable with a choice of shower or bath but the low quality of furniture and soft furnishings left a lot to be desired. Served an excellent breakfast with all you need in a nice dining area. A cosy lounge area and a very reasonable priced bar.... More

This hotel had recently been taken over and whilst the bedrooms were clean and tidy the bathroom needed a bit of tlc. As a room it was fine for a one night stay but the breakfast was terrible. Twists of Nescafe and a boiler served as coffee, the toast was thin cardboard, when I asked for scrambled egg instead of... More
