From the entrance this hotel has recreated an authentic 1920s feel with fabulous spiral staircase to the upper floors. The dining room sweeps around the hotel with fabulous views across Morecambe bay and the quality of the food is excellent (albeit a limited menu, which apart from the fish course, does not change). Visitors should book a sea view room... More

This was our third visit, and it certainly won't be our last. As usual the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful, the food was excellent, and our sea view room was spacious and comfortable. It was helpful to have an ironing board and iron tucked away in the wardrobe to save the hassle of having to keep going to reception... More

We stayed for one night in a feature sea view room on the top floor. The additional expense was well worth it especially for the incredible sea view when lying in the large deep bath. The wall to wall and floor to ceiling glass windows/doors, across the whole room, provided a great view of Morecombe Bay; curtains are provided. Unfortunately,... More

I spent 3 nights at this hotel which proved to be somewhat of an enigma. The 1920s building has been well restored in an updated Art Deco style. The use of space in the bedrooms has been very well thought through with a great deal of design ingenuity. Whilst this is primarily a strength it also has weaknesses, in particular... More

We had our wedding at the beautiful Midland Hotel in May this year and it was absolutely wonderful. The gentleman who arranged our day (Lee) was professional and personable and gave us great advice and a consistent service leading up to the day. Our Master of ceremonies was a lovely chap who went out of his way to make things... More

We have stayed at the Midland before and everything was fine. Not this time. We telephoned the restaurant to see what time they closed and were told 10pm. We arrived at 9:10pm only to be told they had stopped serving. We said we had phoned and were then taken to a table. The staff that waited on us need to... More

We stayed for a night with our dog. We had dinner in the rotunda bar (bit noisy for us) and then moved to the reception/foyer area for drinks afterwards. Staff friendly. Breakfast very good and we ate in the rotunda bar with our dog. fRoom functional, although far too hot and it was a room facing the town. Had a... More

We only stayed here the one night as a special treat for a Birthday. We have dined here before and have used the Rotunda Bar on a number of occasions.. This review is specifically for our Birthday visit 18.07.16. Arrived approx. 3.30. Welcomed by the staff, given all the information we required. We were offered porter service, but did not... More

The room was nicely appointed with a sea view - the design of the art deco and high balcony wall meant that sitting in the chair in the bedroom only gave a view of the blue sky! however, there were several lovely areas to enjoy sitting other than that. WE had a one night stay and met local friends for... More
