Stayed for three nights. Staff were very friendly. Had full breakfasts plus simpler fare. All served without fuss Evening meal was taken once and did not disappoint The room was clean and airy Very handy for NYMR and whole of the National Park. I would not hesitate to visit again when in the area

This was a stop off from a day trip to whitby the place was easy to find and to check into we had drinks waiting in our room which was nice, everything was as to be expected nothing wowed but was fresh and clean linen was crisp and white tv got all its channels. Bar was very reasonably priced and... More

Stayed for one night, received a warm welcome and the receptionist was super helpful, organised me a taxi to and from the event I was attending. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy, there were a few signs of wear on the room but they didn't bother me or impact on my stay. Would stay again

Stayed for two nights and slept really well considering it is so close to traffic thundering by. Only had one meal there,as we were meeting with friends who live in Pickering, but it was very good, well cooked, and a good sized portion too. Realistic pricing too. Run by brothers this a very smooth operation, and guess what? the (local)... More

If you're looking to stay at a corporate new hotel with all the latest mod cons (including double glazed windows) look away. However, if you're looking for a privately owned, small, quaint hotel with excellent food and brilliant staff then look no further. Maybe the rooms aren't bang up to date and the WiFi can get glitchy but the atmosphere... More

The hotel pictures gave the impression it was very nice. The room was a decent size, however it needs a paint job. The bed was two singles pushed together, and unfortunately they came apart slightly a couple of times during the night. The staff were lovely and attentive. There's plenty of parking too. Breakfast was additional money, which is more... More

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room had everything we needed. The bar area was comfortable. We ate evening meal, which had a great selection for everyone's taste inc vegetarian option but if you like Yorkshire puddings I recommend the Sunday lunch wow! The bar is fully stocked for all appetites. In the reception area there is a... More

Stopped off overnight here en route to flamingo land and Bolton castle. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food a bit overpriced for what it is but tasted good. Accommodation was very comfortable with all mod cons - we stayed in a family room (1 double bed and 1 single) with the biggest bath ever! Was concerned the noise from the... More
