Although we didn't stay at the Forest and Vale on this, our most recent visit to Pickering (we have in the past and it was great) we did eat there every evening. The meals were all wonderful - full of taste and beautifully cooked. I particularly like the vegetarian dishes. The chicken pie was delicious, too. Many thanks to Ben...

When we arrived we received a warm welcome from the manager, we were shown to our room which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sunday lunch in the restaurant was very nice, the selection for breakfast was very good and we would recommend the Yorkshire breakfast. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially Tom who was always...

The bar staff were also very chatty and friendly. A big plus for the bar was the cost of a pint, very reasonable with a good selection of beers and the crisps were...

Just got back from a night away at this hotel. It was very clean and tidy. Excellent attentive staff. Lovely bar area and exceptional breakfast. Well worth the money. We stayed in a double executive and it was lovely and spacious overlooking the main road but was really quiet during the night. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate in...
