My wife & I have used many B&B's over the years and Laurel Bank tops the lot. It is the most comfortable, hospitable, and clean stay you could wish for. Brenda is the most friendly and helpful host, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is excellent with homemade bread and many choices. The fresh fruit medley is to die for....

We had a lovely 1 night stay with Brenda. She made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful with ideas for evening meals. Our room (1) had a lovely ensuite shower room. (Cappelmans Fish & Chips in the market place we're fabulous, and on Mondays & Tuesdays they do gluten free options).

Laurel Bank is a 10 min walk in to town. Brenda the owner is lovely and the room was clean, homely and really comfortable. Cheaper option as no credit card - could be an idea to have the cash ready to pay on arrival so you don't forget! Thanks - and I will likely be back soon.

Lovely house and helpful owner. Really comfortable beds with good mattresses, pillows and duvets. Loved the top sheet of white cotton however let down by bottom stretch sheet. Off street parking was good. We had a private bathroom which was lovely however I think it should be locked and key given with the room. Although there was a catch on...

We arrived at Laurel Bank B+B late on a Thursday evening and despite the hour of our arrival Brenda was very warm and welcoming! We settled into a gorgeous double room with a delightful ensuite. The facilities offered were brilliant and although the breakfast was a little more expensive than I had anticipated it was worth every penny!! I would...

Clean, quiet and well located. Brenda very welcoming and served excellent breakfasts. Found it odd to be asked to pay cash upfront of stay, not the norm, yogurt, fruit extra over cost if wanted at breakfast. Didn't like Fairtrade coffee and Uht milk in room. Would definitely stay again if in Pickering.

I made a last minute booking only 2 days before and luckily got the last room! The single room was extremely comfortable and with a small, but clean and very presentable en-suite shower room, and was excellent value. Brenda, the owner, was most welcoming. The room was well equipped and even a bathrobe and slippers were provided! The shower was...
