One of the best B&Bs we have visited. Well appointed rooms and a nice lounge. Had their cold platter one evening, which consisted of excellent pate, cheese and dessert. Suggest you take a bottle of wine with you. Breakfast plentiful and a wide choice. If staying more than one night have the kippers, which have ot be ordered 24 hours... More

Our first stay at Flamborough Rigg a couple of years ago was so memorable, it was worth arranging this year's schedule to include a return visit. Nothing has changed, it is just as perfect as we remembered. Caroline and Phil have created a wonderful home away from home in a quiet and peaceful countryside. The Hayloft is an immaculately clean,... More

Not much I can say that hasn’t already been said as it is a truly super place to stay for exploring North Yorkshire. The professional experience of the proprietors shows through with attention to detail and friendly attentive service if required. You won’t be disappointed staying here and my wife and I (together with Bertie our Lakeland puppy) highly recommend... More

This is a very well decorated and furnished dog friendly cottage in a good location. At the end of a road so no through traffic, very peaceful with lots of walking from the door. Helpful owners on hand but discreet. Gorgeous cottage garden with ample space to sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet.

This is a lovely cottage, surrounded - at Easter - by new-born lambs and overlooking an oasis of a garden on the edge of the forest. You can walk right from the door. Self-catering & B&B options are possible. It is well-equipped and dog-friendly. The owners live in the adjoining property and are keen for you to have a great... More

This is truly a fabulous self catering cottage to suit the needs of the most discerning guest. Every single thing you need is provided for and everything is high quality. The fittings and fixtures are tastefully and artistically chosen to provide a home from home. The standard of cleanliness is exceptional with not so much as a crumb on the... More

We stayed in The Hayloft which is a self catering cottage (there are also BnB rooms) - it was a great week - we had such fun in North Yorkshire (despite the weather) but our enjoyment was also due to the superb accommodation. This is simply THE BEST cottage we have ever stayed in - everything is thought of -... More

We enjoyed a week stay at The Hayloft cottage; just wished it could have been longer. It is obvious that Caroline and Phil have given much thought to the comfort of their guests – you want for nothing. The Hayloft is in a quiet country location, has a modern interior with charming décor, and has every amenity to please the... More

We have just returned from a week’s stay over the New Year period in the Hayloft and have loved every minute of it! The cottage is spotlessly clean, warm and cosy with a wonderful wood burning stove, which made those lazy evening reading with our feet up, just that bit more special. This was our first time away with our... More

My wife and I spent four days here in late August, we wanted to see the glorious display of heather on the North Yorkshire moors. From the moment we arrived Philip and Caroline could not have been better hosts - the room was well furnished, the breakfasts were truly excellent, and the location of the cottage was ideal for exploring...
