Stayed over after a day in Cropton. Nice clean room, lovely welcome and the dogs are a bunch of characters too, made us feel right at home. Accommodation is at the end of a long country road, so make sure you book a taxi if you are planning a night out in the area.

The hotel has been renamed as the Cottage Lea's country Hotel. The first problem we encountered was our booking had been lost in the great ethos of e mail. In fairness the problem was resolved and accommodations were found. I understand that this is a new venture but certain standards should be maintained. We found the hotel without adequate heating...

My husband, I and our 3 dogs had a superb lunch here today. The home cooked food was perfect, beautiful puddings, and a very good wine list - all at reasonable prices. They have a separate cosy room with a log burner that is Dog Friendly. I would certainly recommend this place, we were very well looked after. Set in...

Arrived New Years Eve for a one night stay at around 5pm to be greeted by reception. No signing in we were then shown to our room up a very narrow staircase which was difficult to manouvre a suitcase The room was twin bedded very plain, no heating on was quite cold. To lock the room door it required the...

We enjoyed our visit very much, our room was well presented with a large shower in the bathroom and comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious. The hotel is a few minutes drive from Pickering surrounded by pretty countryside and there are ponies and chickens in the ajoining field. Lovely fresh free range eggs for breakfast!

Now known as Cottage Lea's - is located a couple of miles outside Pickering along a no through country road. So if you want a nice quiet location this is the place - a nice relaxed family run hotel. Staff were excellent, dinner and breakfast very good, rooms were clean and comfy beds. The selection of beer was a bit...

This was a last minute booking as the place I normally stay was full but what a lovely surprise the rooms were clean and the place had a feel of being comfortable and relaxing in a great spot. The food was excellent and the staff both very friendly but spot on with both service and dealing with any requests that...

Booked here at the last minute as a stopover on our way south. Not quite sure what to expect though I know the area. The place, staff and facilities were both relaxing and charming. Staff were polite, chatty and helpful. Our room was very nice as was the lovely modern shower room. Very clean and appropriate facilities provided. We loved...
