I arrived on a rather dark, misty day, so the hotel gave me an impression of mystery when I first got there. Once I was checked in, I was delighted to find that the hotel is situated between the cemetery and Stirling Castle. My room had a view of the cemetery. The Castle is literally across a parking lot from...

Great location literally right next to Stirling Castle high above the town. Parking is limited but the few spaces there are did free up once the Castle closed at 5pm. I had a single room which was adequate, nice enough but not very big and not much of a view however it was clean and up to date. The bar...

Stayed for one night and was really enjoyable stay. Room was nice and clean with a great view. We stayed in room 2 and could see the Wallace monument and a lovely view of the river. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the evening meal was very good. I had the highland chicken and would recommend...

Came for lunch here (3rd visit). Had Steak Pie, Chips and veg. Very nice, good size portion and reasonably priced. Gets quite busy but people don't usually hang around too long after having their meals. Had lasagne on a previous visit which was lovely however it was not on the menu this time so had steak pie.

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights as part of our 2 week trip around Scotland. It was a great location to do a day trip up to Glencoe. Out of all the places we stayed this was one of my favorites. Being next to the castle and feeling like you are living in history was amazing. We loved...

Left my car outside to pay a visit to the graveyard for all of 5 minutes with a couple of friends (as it didn't seem busy). Returned to get my car to collect a parcel I was expecting, intending to return for lunch shortly after. Upon returning, another car was blocking mine. Was greeted with blatantly rude and (quite frankly...

It looked like an interesting old building near Stirling Castle so we decided to drop in and take a look. We had a couple of drinks, there were quite a few diners in the later afternoon. There was a lovely outdoor area but a bit chilly during our visit.

My husband, two of our friends and I stayed here one night in August, 2015, in double-bedded and twin-bedded rooms on the second floor. Both rooms were small, but immaculately clean and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom in the double-bedded room was quite large and had a spectacular view across the esplanade to Stirling Castle. The pub had a...

This was the perfect location for our Stirling visit. We can highly recommend the rooms, as they were spacious and very clean. Not only did the room have a hot water pot but enough coffee/tea items were provided. The food in the restaurant was very good - I have to say the Highland Chicken was one of the best meals...

We just had 2 panninis, a lager shandy and a glass of white wine spritzer, although it was busy, the service was quick and the food delicious. There is a larger menu if you want a full meal. They were accommodating for families with children.
