Couple that run the hotel are really friendly and helpful.Well maintained and well run family home with a pair of Wally dugs on the self on first landing. Rooms where spotless well arranged. We had a beautiful view of the Wallace monument and surrounding area. Breakfast was at a reasonable time and everything you would expect, cooked beautifully and too... More

First of all, I read one negative review of Munro Guest House before I booked. Sometimes reviews are written by grumpy folks whom no one could please. Most reviews were favorable for very good reason. We stayed in several B&Bs during our trip to the UK, and I just want to say we thoroughly enjoyed the Munroe Guest House and... More

If you arrive by train you realize that everything in Stirling is uphill. Fortunately the Munro guest house is not that far up hill. Its very pleasant, easy to find and Ena and Alex are very hospitable. They gave us excellent directions a recommendations on place to eat and drink. Rooms are small but comfortable and breakfast was all that... More

Everything about Munro is just how I like it! Communicative hosts, though anything but pushy - they have any answer to your queries and helpful suggestions. The location halfway from the the bus/train station up to the castle couldn't be better. It's even a cul-de-sac so what could be quieter - and there is parking if you need it. The... More

Alison, Many thanks for the kind comments. We were glad you and your party of ladies enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again sometime. It is always good to hear that guests enjoyed their stay with us. You left us some really hot weather, almost tropical for Scotland!! Ena and Alex More

Our view was so quaint and lovely. We could see the Wallace Monument, a nearby church (dating back to 1860), many chimneys and tiny little yards below us. For me, the view made me really happy we chose this place. I loved looking out at the romantic Wallace Monument - day or night, since it is lit up after dark.... More

Alex and Ena are outstanding in their hospitality. Their home is carefully decorated and well maintained. Breakfasts are served in a warm and relaxed fashion. Being close to the city center, travelers without cars will find it easy to see the castle and use the local transportation offerings.

Nice couple, they made us very welcome. Easy parking in their street, with backup parking in the nearby station car park The Guest House is near the middle of town – an easy walk to nice pubs with food and nice restaurants. There are some ground floor rooms but otherwise typically Scottish steep stairs and no lift.

Two of us stayed on a Saturday night as we were going to an event in Stirling. The owners were very friendly throughout our stay giving us information the town and ordering us taxi's when required. We stayed in a family room ensuite on the first floor. Nice clean room with tea/coffee making facilities. I would recommend requesting a top... More

Great location! Munro's was within walking distance of the Bus and Train Station. We found Sterling was ideal for scooting back and forth to Glasgow or Edinburgh or exploring Sterling itself. We enjoyed our breakfasts at the Munro Guest House before we headed out for our day. As Canadians we were amazed that a building so old could be so... More

This B&B is in the perfect location. It is close to all the Stirling attractions and restaurants. We never had to use our car to do everything we wanted to do in Stirling. The rooms are small but adequate and the breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.
