Had a bit of difficulty getting to the hotel due to our satnav not recognising the new one-way system in the city. We parked up and my wife found the hotel explaining our predicament. The hotel sent a staff member with her back to our car and he guided us through the one-way system to the hotel - so big... More

We spend 2 nights in this superb hotel. You can feel history in every pice of the hotel. All staff is just brilliant, food excellent and new bar is also great. It is hard to get feedback on the rooms as every room is different size and it depends, which type of the rooms you are in. I saw twin... More

Myself and my husband booked the hotel due to its location, and that really is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Checked in and went to our room to be met with a filthy disgusting uncleaned toilet, which nearly made me sick. Without going into finer detail, if this room had been cleaned after the last... More

I was very disappointed with the room. I had 2 single beds in my room so had the choice of both. I would have been more comfortable on the floor. The beds were dated and the mattresses were awful. The springs were poking up in to my back which made my night's sleep disturbed! Not going to mention the worn... More

Excellent atmosphere, good service and friendly and attentative staff, there is always something suitable on the menu for everyone's taste. The sweet menu is excellent, trying to decide which dessert to have is difficult.

Spent one night here on our way north. The hotel is located right in the centre and in walking distance of the castle. The rooms are tired but clean - owners should consider an upgrade. The tiny elevator is incapable of handling an influx of more than three guests at a time. We gave up waiting for it repeatedly, and... More

We visited with a group and did not have high expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fine, except the gravy seemed to arrive when we had finished our meal and staff seemed to be rushed (the hotel manager was helping out a few times). Room was a nice size and comfortable (although very warm, a problem with... More

If visiting this hotel take care to check the size of the room. We booked a standard room for 2 nights, and were given a room that you seriously couldn't move in, including the shower. We asked to be moved to a bigger room, however they were fully booked. They did however move us to a more suitable room for... More
