Kate made us feel very comfortable and welcome even though she was going through major repairs to her kitchen. The breakfasts she produced under these circumstances were delicious. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and our week long stay was very pleasant. Stirling is a very interesting town and also made a very good base to explore Scotland from.

Very clean & comfortable. Bed was great. The house is larger than it looks! A beautiful front room for breakfast. Host Kate cooked an excellent breakfast and also gave us some great local tips. Highly recommend this great value B&B.

First class B&B in a deceptively large house. Host Kate was welcoming and helpful. Great rooms which were spotlessly clean and warm. Kate cooked a superb traditional breakfast and also gave us some great local tips. Highly recommend this great value B&B.

There was so much good here, I'm going to start with the downsides before I go off in raptures. Firstly, the pictures give the impression that it's out of town but it's actually in quite a built up residential area. It's not that near to the centre but is a short drive by car and can be reached by foot...

We were fortunate to get last-minute accommodation at the Barnsdale House, through the Tourist Information Center in Stirling. It is a short drive from the center of town, might be a bit far to reach by foot if carrying luggage. Our host Kate was gracious and welcoming despite the brevity of our stay and the short notice to prepare for...

Christian Dyhr Jensen, Denmark Very friendly welcome and atmosphere. My wife and I stayed together with a couple of friends for one night on our trip around in Scotland. We got an excellent meal at restaurant Bernhard near the castle, a good nights sleep and an excellent breakfast in Barnsdale House.

We were a family of 3 generations, my wife and I, son-in-law and grandson, all lucky enough to have been selected as volunteer golf marshals at the 2014 Ryder Cup in Gleneagles. But our luck didn't end there, because when researching where to stay in the locality, we found Barnsdale House and it's charming host Kate. We booked our 8...

We stayed for one night in a family room on our way to the NW. The room was a good size and nicely appointed. Everything worked and there were ample supplies of tea, coffee and chocolate to make. Our landlady looked after us very well with a gentle, friendly manner without being intrusive. There was an good choice of breakfast...
