The place is classy and the staff are very friendly! I had haggis, neeps and tatties for a starter and the duck as main course. They were great , the duck simply melted in the mouth! The lemon meringue tart was also delicious! I also had red wine which was velvet like but I don't remember which one!

Stayed here for a week while visiting Stirling on business and was pleasantly surprised. Small hotel comprising less than 10 bedrooms but don't let this put you off. Location is good - you can walk to centre of Stirling in less than 5 minutes, but you are also near large supermarkets and the main road if you have a commute... More

My first impression wasn t the best as they don t really have a reception for the hotel. When I ve found the place I thought I was on the wrong place! It s a bit odd to enter a restaurant carrying your luggage while people have their meals in a very modern and beautiful restaurant but it was booked... More

Big room but smelt of cigarettes. Mouldy shower and refilled shampoo and shower gel bottles with very watery substance. Nice food for evening meal. Very close to the train station. Probably wouldn't stay again, sorry.

Large room with fantastic large, light, fresh, modern bathroom. Room was modern but decor very dark and lighting is poor. Room number 1 is next to the lift so a little noisy. Helpful staff. Very good well cooked Scottish breakfast.

We were there for one night and we had an accident broking the TV. We went to the reception and the responsible called his boss. He came to the room laughing and saying that we should not fight and that we should pay 500 pounds. Next day they the woman in the reception had the mistake to say that it... More

Hi Ignacio, thank you for your recent review on your stay at Cook's of Stirling. I would like to respond to your points which I feel aren't entirely true. First of all yes you did crack the screen on the TV, I am sorry that what was meant as a light hearted remark about fighting to diffuse what was quite... More

On arrival had to ask for the tea, milk and biscuits which should have been in the room. Coffee maker but no coffee pods. Bathroom tired - cracked tiles and towel rail broken. Breakfast tea/coffee not fresh - kept in flasks - yoghurt dish was empty and not refilled, had to make special request for toast. Very unimpressed.

A surprisingly modern room and bath for a great value. It was close to many places to shop. Although the room and the staff were excellent, I did not care for the food in the restaurant. It wasn't bad but it was nothing special.

We were only able to stay one night but the hotel was very nice. Even though we arrived late, the staff was waiting to check us in and make our stay as nice as possible. The room was comfortable and the price was great.

Food is ok, not amazing but they do a great full breakfast. The cocktails are amazing and they are really good at those. Always lots of girls groups for birthdays. Also do a cocktail making class. The only place in Stirling that would give us a private room for 10-20 for a function with cocktails and snacks, rather than a... More
