I just had a horrific experience at Airport Inn Gatwick.
After terrible customer service at check in, I found stains in the toilet of my room and on the side of the bed. Disgusting.

There is a local bus that serves the hotel. Can't recall the number, but it runs from just outside the terminal and costs around £2. Journey time less than 10 minutes.
