We had a second floor room with a beautiful lake view. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. They have a pub on site and the food was very good. They also have cottages right on the lake. They have boating and a swimming area and chairs to sit on the lake.

This was our third year at WillowVale Inn on Lake Willoughby for a few summer days. Good times to go are July/August or winter visit for skiing at 3 nearby ski areas. You may see colorful "Northern Lights" in glorious colors! About 3.0-3.50 hours from Boston and really worth the drive to find extraordinary glacial lake with imposing mountains on both... More

This is a really nice place on a beautiful lake. We stayed in the gazebo room, and the service was great (recommendations for hikes, let us stick around to play badminton our check-out day etc) One thing to know about the gazebo room - you'll have very little privacy. You are literally right on the gazebo, which is public, so... More

Thank you for your feed back. There is an area of the balcony that allows access in and out by the guests of The Gazebo Room. There is a chain and a sign that lets all others know that this is a private balcony. The sign was removed. We are in the process of replacing the sign in order to... More

The moment we drove up to this lovely inn on Lake Willoughby we knew this was a very special place. The staff is welcoming, the views from the dinning rooms magnificent, everything is well maintained, and the choices of wine, craft beers, and entrees at diner very good. We stayed in Weathervane...a spacious room with views over the lake. There... More

My husband and I stayed one night as a birthday gift and the Willoughvale Inn is an amazing place. We stayed in the Gazebo Suite and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect and we sat outside in the evening and again in the morning with our breakfast. It was a little noisy with the traffic right out side but... More

Located at the head of beautiful Lake Willoughby, this venue has the ultimate view of water and mountains. Our cabin was nicely furnished, roomy and had a beautiful lake view from the spacious porch and through the sliding doors of the den and master bedroom. Pleasant waterfront area with canoes, kayaks and paddle boards for guest use. Easy lake entry... More

It was our first time staying there and we will go back for sure! My girlfriend & I stayed in the Garden View room for two nights and were very happy with everything and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were there to celebrate our two year anniversary, we met while hiking Mt Pisgah in 2014. Last year... More

We stayed in the Songaweedin Cabin for two nights-- our first time visiting any lake-area in Vermont although we live in a mountain resort town. The forecast was for HOT so the idea of a well-appointed cabin with full amenities was exactly what we were looking for. First-- the host-- Skip-- is so kind and helpful and genuinely concerned about... More

Our second review of this charming, romantic place; it is so beautiful that the weather simply doesn't matter. The amenities are easy to access, the surrounding area is abundantly beautiful, the staff is professional and friendly, and Pisgah cottage feels like a luxurious version of home! Innkeeper, Skip Verchot is a master of low key hospitality and yet keep his... More

Over a June weekend I spent a weekend photographing around the Northeast Kingdom with members of the camera club. I couldn't have asked for a better location to stay than Willoughvale. A friend and I rented a cottage on the lake. Two bedrooms, a huge bathroom complete with jetted tub, full kitchen including a dishwasher, and good sized living room.... More
