Currently with my family on Day 3 of quarantine. Improvements have clearly been made since the last reviewer’s unfortunate experience. We arrived Saturday and were welcomed by friendly staff who took us through the induction process before escorting us to our rooms. Efficient and helpful. Rooms are clean with aircon, tv etc. Food so far has been excellent. Menu is typical mid-range hotel with varied options, brought to our door at regular times, hot and fresh and tasty. Also huge quantities and lots of fruit, snacks, juices, pastries, etc. We came expecting prison like experience but have been pleasantly surprised. Difficult circumstances for all of us, obviously, but staff are very helpful and friendly and there has been some nice little welcoming touches (today we received a small box of pastries with our lunch for Eid) obviously we have 7 more days to go and could be climbing the walls by then, but if anyone else is coming here, don’t worry, you’ll be fine. And based on our experience I would happily consider staying here in future, hopefully not quarantined,

Hotel quarantine from hell. Forced to quarantine despite repeated medical and compassionate exemption requests. I traveled for a very close family bereavement, it was not a choice but a necessity. I suffer anxiety and panic attacks. I was denied exemption and got little help from on-site “medics”. I use the quote marks because they did nothing. I did not even get my medication. Food was shocking. For more than one meal I received dry bread with lettuce and 3 slices of cucumber and tomato. There were 3-4 things I could eat on the menu. For 11 days, and most of the time I’d just get sent what they had instead if what I ordered. Nothing nourishing. I left really hungry and feeling ill. And the filthy car park walk just isn’t worth £1750. This is a hotel I will NEVER EVER visit ever again. Prisoners are treated better, I’m sure of it.

we, 3 persons, went there for a weekend trip. we arrived on a friday evening to the hotel, tough this was a day on which we had to work we were already tired when we arrived. we were so tired and soo hungry but still happy to eat for the first time in london. we ordered food from the hotels kitchen and an employee from the reception, an older tamil man, said that our food will be brought to our room- he will checking it. after 2 hours we still didn‘t received any food. then we went to the reception to the same man again. he said, oh sorry madam, i will immediatly go to the kitchen and bring your food to your room. after hours we called the reception a few times, but couldn‘t reach no one. it was very late and we couldb’t find any open restaurants in the near. we waited until 3 am but still nobody brought our food. then we slept hungry because it was too late and we were to tired to try again. He guaranteed 3 persons that he is going to organize their food order and then he ignore us. We were speachless and the next day, sadly we were tired and we didn‘t saw this man again. its long time ago, it was in february 2020 but we still think about what an ugly being this man is. all others were friendly and so nice.

We booked Leonardo as our flight was cancelled last minute, the hotel was lovely, very clean and modern! The room was spacious and bright and we had a wonderful sleep! Breakfast was also great, plenty of choice! We ate in the bar which was extremely busy but the food and service was fantastic, I have to mention our server ( I believe his name was Gibbo or something similar to that) he was absolutely amazing, he was practically running the whole bar and floor by himself, he made us feel most welcome and took care of us with a smile! That man deserves a pay rise for all his fantastic efforts to keep his guests happy, we’ll be back and hopefully he’s still there!!

I’ve stayed at this property many, many times in the last decade, sometimes for weeks at a time. It’s been a while since I was last here and on my last stay, the hotel was beginning to look quite tired and frayed and was in need of a major make over. I’m pleased to note - it’s had one! And a very good one! You can still reach the hotel very easily from Heathrow T2&3 just hopping on the free local bus. The 105, 111, 278 & 285 buses from stop 19 at the Heathrow central bus station will whisk you to the hotel - completely free of charge - in less than 10 minutes. The U3 will take you back to the airport from the same stop, for the same free ride. The 423 bus connects free from T5. The staff are as friendly and welcoming as ever and due to the COVID crisis, will have you check in online ahead of your arrival. The restaurant & bar is closed, but they are still providing food service from the room service menu; you just need to collect it from the lobby. As always with Leonardo hotels, breakfast is not included in your room rate, so it is an extra cost and currently is a pre packaged bag of items. I didn’t avail. The rooms have had a dramatic make over and are now pristine, new, clean and cool renovations. However, despite the cool decor and the new furniture, desk, lighting, power points, etc, they no longer have anywhere for you to put your luggage! Quite an oversight. I ended up using the table for my case. A really basic requirement for any hotel room overlooked. Linens are spotless and comfortable and the old sagging mattresses are all gone. There’s an iron, ironing board, kettle, tea, coffee, cookies, a fridge, free excellent WIFI and a flat screen TV with many channels. The lighting is all greatly improved too. New carpets add to the improvements. The bathrooms have also been completely remade but sadly, the bath tub is now gone. No long soak for weary travelers possible now. Instead, there’s a large walk in shower. Hot water pressure is excellent. There were only 2 bath towels in the room. No hand towels or wash cloths. This might be a COVID issue as I stayed in another London Leonardo property the week before and they had the same towel limitation. There were problems with the keys to my room, which never worked despite being replaced 3 times. A member of staff had to let me into the room each time. As I was only there one night, I didn’t take their offer to change rooms after the third time I was locked out, but there’s clearly a tech issue they need to resolve. Despite the floor being empty of guests, they put me next door to the only other guest on the floor. An odd decision. Social distancing alone should have prevented that. There was some noise from room, but nothing terrible. I’m glad to see the improvements this hotel has made to bring it back up to the standard it enjoyed before. It’s really very impressive and the rates still favourable.
