Detailed Reviews
Just came back from a trip to the UK after staying here twice. The first time I got a studio apartment and thought it was very nice. While small, it was plenty big enough when you compare it to other hotel rooms in the UK. The thing that really made me like it though was the cleanliness... The room, kitchenette and the bathroom were all spotless, just the way I like it. I am the sort of traveler that doesn't need a business center, or a swimming pool or a gym or a fancy lobby. I rarely do anything else but sleep in my hotel stays so the only two things that are important to me are the cleanliness and price (in that order).
On my second stay, I guess the studio (that I had booked) was full, so I must of got a free 'upgrade' to a one bedroom suite. The room was much, much bigger and would have easily handled four people (two couples, with one couple on the sofa-bed) so that was good, but sadly the cleanliness level had gone down slightly. Not so much so that I would complain or demand a different room, just the usual UK stuff, you know... worn carpets, specks of mold in the bathroom, cracked silicone everywhere and somewhat scuffed and worn furniture. Don't get me wrong, the kitchen was still spotless and the bathroom was ok... just jaded and in need of a couple of squirts of bleach to get rid of the specks of mold. So I was ok with it, just a little disappointed not to get the same room as the first time.
Location wise, this is a very good location for Heathrow and the trip by public bus only took us about 15 mins (including walking time to the bus stop). If I was planning a trip to London, I think I would seriously consider this hotel as an option. With the hotels in the city itself being so expensive and so dilapidated, I think I would prefer to stay out here, get a bus/tube pass and make a little bit of a journey each day. You would save a fortune over a similar quality of hotel closer to the city center, and you would save some more money by making yourself some sandwiches/etc each day for a picnic. Don't forget that London is very very expensive and even the fast food places cost an arm and a leg. So if comfort living at a bargain price is where your at (like me) then this could be a very real alternative for a week or two sightseeing trip to London.
I noticed that a couple of reviewers mentioned that they had difficulty with the internet... I was fine on both nights with multiple devices, so that wasn't a problem, and I had no noise issues either, I don't think I heard a single sound all night, and I had the windows open as well.
Just to emphasis to anyone interested in this hotel, please don't think 'hotel' when booking, this is an apartment complex that rents out rooms for the night (or more). This makes the place very competitive price wise, but there are a number of things that you need to know and decide before you book if this is for you.
First: there is no shuttle bus, and the instructions on how to get there are a little vague. I found the best way is just to jump on the number 140 bus and get off at 'Harlington Corner.' When you arrive at Heathrow, find out where the 'Central Bus Terminal' is, go there, walk outside and you will see people waiting at a number of stops, find the one that says 140 on it and just wait for it to come (24hr service). it is only 3 or 4 stops and the bus will have an LED sign telling you what the next stop will be. But familiarize your self with the area by map first and you will not go wrong. It is just behind the second Holiday Inn that you will pass, and if you make the trip a few times you will even find that there is actually a number of buses that you can use. Not sure why, but the bus ride is free as well. So as long as you don't mind hauling your bags etc, this is by far the best option (for the somewhat adventurous anyway).
Second: I have already mentioned the lack of facilities, so don't be surprised that there is no elevator. I had a really heavy bag on my second stay and had to lug it up three flights of stairs.. not fun, but I survived. The parking is an extra 10 pounds a night, which is actually cheaper than some other hotels in the area, and it is very secure as well, so don't let it bother you too much. Don't be shy to ask the desk person any questions you may have, I found them to be very friendly and all too willing to help out as much as they can.
Third: Perhaps my biggest problem with this location would be the lack of air conditioning. Given that it was winter when I stayed you would think it wouldn't be needed, but I was still thinking that a quick blast of nice cool air would have been nice, and that makes me think that it would not be a good idea to stay here in summer. But that's just me, my wife was fine, but then she always seems cold.
Fourth: There are NO shops nearby. If you have a car this will not be an issue and for the young and sprightly the short 10 min walk to the nearest ones will not seem that bad. But the shops/restaurants are nothing to write home about when you do get to them, just a motley collection of pubs, fast food and small supermarket type places that have all seen better days and have all, long, long ago, given up any pretense of trying to provide quality or ambiance.
Fifth: I found the 10am check out time to be rather early. You can squeeze another hour out of them but I am used to having the option of checking out up to 3pm. So if your flight is not until the evening, you are going to have a long day ahead of you at the airport. I would love to see this changed.
Sixth: Not really much of an issue, but some instructions on how to use the washing machine would have been helpful. The staff were more than happy to help, but I didn't want to bother them.
Seventh: When you check in they tell you that they will be adding a 300 pound refundable deposit on your card, so make sure your credit card has lots of room on it. I guess they have to do this given all the stuff in the apartment that could walk away are be damaged.
So all in all I was very satisfied with my stay and would both recommend the place as well as go there again myself. Just keep the issues I listed above in mind as you book, and if they don't bother you, you will have a great stay. But if you do book, try to take advantage of the 'apartment' living, and buy some food to prepare in the room.

If you were lucky enough to get an apartment where everything worked, then these apartments would be brilliant. I stayed here for 2 months on business, i changed rooms once, i refused a second time. The television didn't work properly, the picture froze and the sound went mute every few minutes. The shower was a nightmare to turn on and off, the handle was really stiff. The washer didn't work properly, and it took them over a week to get the engineer out and he still couldn't repair it. The hot water intermittently didn't get hot, the DVD player that is advertised took 3 weeks to arrive after endless requests and the bedroom window had no lock and didn't close properly.

Now in the Heathrow zone there are plenty of stays(big brand name hotels) so why would anyone choose this ! well I tell you why : its a quiet ,tucked in a neat corner (of course you cant escape the Jet-vroom sometimes- its the Heathrow zone for Gods sake!) and its got a neat little kitchenette to give your tummy a treat whenever & whatever it wants at No cost at all !! Compared to the Holiday inns & Sheraton ,rates might be on the higher side-but trust me its good! The free wifi facility is true to its spirit & provides excellent service. So does the friendly smiling faces you encounter at the reception! So if you on a business trip or a family just parking itself in near vicinity of Heathrow, just choose this without batting an eyelid, its worth the higher prices in commercial properties in the vicinity. and commuting to National Bus or Underground station by Bus is Free -as it is in heathrow zone ! take care . cheers !

Firstly this is the same hotel as Berkeley Park Apartments, located in Hayes Middlesex... so all the reviews on the other page hold the same for this page too!
Secondly I have to agree with the reviews on the other page, this is one of the worst nights that I have had in a hotel in my life. I was guaranteed an early check-in by the Front Office Manager, only to find out when I got there, that I couldn't check-in before the normal time... bearing in mind there is nothing to do in the area, I had to go back into central London.
Once I eventually got my room, I had to carry my luggage up three flights of stairs as there is no lift in these newly built blocks, and no porter to help with them. The room was adequate, but wasn't very clean and the majority of the appliances in the apartment did not function correctly.
I also noticed that they have changed their name to Berkeley Park Executive Suites... posher sounding name for more money, but not the service you would expect from "Executive Suites".
My advice would be to read the reviews on this page and the other, and book yourself in to another hotel - at least you'll pay for what you get!

In one word TERRIBLE!
I wanted to stay at a nice place before we flew off for our honeymoon at the beginning of March this year. I chose Berkeley Park because it claimed to be "Executive Suites". How disappointed I was when we eventually arrived.
The Receptionist, if you can call her that, didn't appear to know what she was doing or anything about the local area at all. When asked for a local resturant recommendation, I was told that there were 'take-away' menus in the room. A great start to married life. I asked for a goundfloor room on booking directly with the hotel, only to be told the only rooms were available were on the top floor and I had to carry my suitcases up the STAIRS, as there was no lift fitted. I had requested the groundfloor room because I suffer from back problems.
The room itself, although very clean, you would not class as "Executive". The workmanship in putting together the rooms is appaling.
A cheap budget hotel has better fixtures than this hotel. The television did not display all the channels that the hotel claimed should be on there and the telephone did not work at all. I had to use my mobile to phone to Reception about this matter on more than one occasion, only to be told they couldn't get it fixed tonight, cause she wasn't sure who she needed to call!
On more than one occasionI had phoned Reception for extra towels to be brought up to the room, only to be told that if I wanted some more towels I would have to come down to Reception and collect them, as she was very busy and couldn't leave the building. Not the service you would expect from a 4* Executive Suite hotel.
Needless to say I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, and I would never ever stay here again!

Having stayed here for business, I had a massive apartment, lounge, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc. lots of space and nicely decorated.
My only problem and the reason I would never stay here again is that parking is a nightmare as if you arrive late there will be no spaces available and no where locally to put your car. Trying to navigate the car park is also tricky.

We stayed here on our long return journey from the US with our elderly parents back in May 2004, we were situated in an upstairs room and struggled with the luggage as there is no lifts. All of us being very tired we decided to get some sleep even though it was only around 4pm. the sofa bed was alreadly erected which me and my husband decided to sleep on and let my parents take the bedroom. We both got onto the sofa bed and it completely collapsed, we found part of the bed behind the door from previous guests who probably had the same problem. We made a trip to reception and must say they were very rude and not sympathetic to our problem. Eventually they said they would move us to another room across the way, we decided to decline this offer and have a refund due to the way we were treated but they said they couldn't refund just like that. We woke my parents packed up and left, we did eventually receive a refund but had to fight for it. I would not recommend anyone staying here, it looks nice on the website but this is very misleading, the service is dreadful!!!

Two miles in the free zone on any one of three buses from Heathrow. 24 hr reception, clean and spacious, quiet and comfortable studio with all the amenities. Courteous and helpful staff person, very reasonable for the cost- what more could you ask?
Suitable for families, couples and singles (there is a choice of apartments from studio and up). Shopping and eateries only 10-20 minutes walk away in a quiet little town. Easy access to London via public transportation. We'll be coming back again.

I stayed at Berkeley Park about a year ago, and whilst the staff were superb and couldnt do enough for me, they were undergoing a major refurbishment, which caused a few problems.
However ......... what a transformation !! Well worth the wait, this block of now extremely modern serviced apartments, which now include all the mod cons including playstation boxes, is located on a quiet and secluded crescent, just minutres away from Heathrow airport.
Wireless internet is free, I had a superbly equipped kitchen, the beds are probably some of the most comfortable I have ever experienced (I am told this is due to something called a Heavenly bed topper - a standard for the company!) and the cleanliness of the entire apartment was 5 star !!
However what truly makes these apartments stand out from the massive blocks of impersonal Heathrow hotels is the staff and the attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble. I did not have to deal with the hoards of aircrews, delayed passengers being bussed in and out. The staff knew who I was, which apartment I was in and truly made my stay a world class experience !!!

After reading the previous reviews of this apartment hotel, I wasn't sure if I should stay at Berkeley Park. I was attending Ascot races and found that most hotels in Bracknell, Windsor and Ascot were fully booked, so I had no choice but to book into a hotel near Heathrow.
What Berkeley Park offered were very attractive, so I decided to stay there rather than other airport hotels. I stayed in an executive suite which has many amenities including Washing Machines, kitchen, large Bathroom, Cool TV with DVD. The only problem is the wireless internet connection which claimed to be broadband but I found it appallingly slower than 56k. Although it's free, I got disconnected from the network every 2 or 3 minutes. Apart from that, all the furnitures and room facilities were very nice!
I agree that the standard of guest services was not up to a traditional 4-star hotel's standard. We got only a security guard in the reception rather than a properly trained personnel in the evening. However, if you prefer the extra space and flexibility of using these amazing room facilities, I would definitely recommend Berkeley Park.
