I have stayed at the Park Head Hotel regularly over the past few years. I have only been by myself on business. The rooms are bright and modern, decorated with nice finishing touches. The hotel is spacious and traditional English, with space for larger groups or quieter areas for couples. I believe it was a coaching house once with plenty...

Very attentive and polite staff who ptoduced a fabulous Sunday Roast at last minute. Very well worth the money. Just a fight with shower head and water temperature balance. Good sleep and will likely return.

We were bought a wowcher deal for an overnight stay for the hotel, and we were really looking forward to travelling over which we did, but I fell ill when we arrived and we had to head home, and it was an ambulance job for me later the day and a week in hospital. As disappointed as we were that...

Visited both Sunday for the carvery and Saturday at the Bishops grill. Both excellent meals. I am gluton free and this is the best I have encountered for recognition of the difficulties of this diet when eating out. Service from staff is absolutely brilliant, they all, make you feel so welcome and can't do enough to make sure your happy. Will...

Popped in here today and we were the only ones eating . Not the biggest of menus but friendly staff and for £5.95 a decent plate of food. Probably a bit tired around the edges and little atmosphere , maybe a bit background music or something to liven the place up but yes I'd be back as enjoyed the food...

Treated myself and sister to afternoon tea, the food was excellent and the service was second to none!!! Very generous with the tea as we were offered refills of milk and top ups of the teapot, we were even given extra cups for the others that came with us who were having a meal.

We spent a couple of nights at the Park head Hotel on business as it was quite close to where we were working at Bishop Auckland. We arrived fairly late on a Sunday evening, but were still able to get a bar meal (scampi) which was very tasty. Our rooms were located on the other side of the courtyard which...

My youngest Daughter treated us to afternoon tea here. It's the 2nd time I've been, the first being a couple of Christmas' ago when I would have preferred the normal afternoon tea and not the Christmas themed cakes. However this one was great. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely and the service excellent. Would definitely return.

We had a lovely night at the Park Head last Frida. Welcomed by pipers, traditional Scottish fayre, true Burns' night speeches then some lovely music by a local group to finish off with. It was great to hear Burns' songs and to be able to sing along, thanks to the songsheets we were given. Ending the night with Auld Lang...
