Everything about this hotel is great - price, location, the staff! Couldn't have asked for more! We didn't eat the the pub over the road but we did have a couple of drinks which were reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend staying here and if the opportunity arises for us to be in the area we will look at this hotel...

We stayed in this hotel when visiting for the Polar Express in Stanhope, this hotel was in a great location with easy access routes. The staff were lovely and the hotel was all clean and couldn't fault it. We arrived back from the Polar Express at about 9.50pm and food was still served up for us as snacks nothing was...

We booked two rooms as we were attending a cremation which was early in the morning. We registered on line arrived after 9pm and found two spotless ground floor rooms at our disposal and a very friendly and helpful welcome. The Crematorium is about 10 mins drive away and you could walk into the town centre in about the same...

The bathroom literally shone in this bathroom! The room we stayed in was relatively new. Very comfortable beds - as you expect now in a Premier Inn. The TV was HD and all stations tuned in properly. Excellent picture. Good WiFi - on the basic. You can pay extra for an even faster speed if you need to download lots....

Lovely base for a family weekend away, rooms clean and tidy, food good and nicely situated for shopping. All in all a lovely pricier inn situated not to far away from the main event of the polar express which was the main purpose of this weekend away.

The room was ok but as for the food it was well below any standard for a paying guest. Breakfast left a great deal to be desired, the evening meal we had to return as it wasn't fit to eat. There was only 2 members of staff who were working the others were just walking round doing nothing.

The room was pretty standard however it was clean, warm and comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. The main thing that made the stay special was the very friendly staff. From the moment we arrived (tired with a toddler and a baby) every single staff member went out of their way to ensure we were happy and had everything...
