Very well located at the quiet southern end of Lord Street, this quirky hotel would be called a "Boutique" hotel with a change in its furnishing, and more snooty staff. I hope it stays as it is! The staff are friendly without being overbearing, with some endearing human failings. I had a room up 2 flights of stairs but my... More

Husband and I stayed three nights over the Air Show weekend. Very well looked after by the two young men, David and Patrick. Nice twin on round floor. Clean and comfy beds. Full breakfast was lovely. Small hiccup was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Nice outdoor area, although a little weeding would make a big difference to hotel appearance. Would... More

Car park full of weeds, baskets need attention or emptying, checked in early as room was ready which was good, staff very pleasant however cleaning staff need to pay attention to detail, net curtains and velvet curtains were FULL of dust as was the wrought iron headboard, bathroom clean and adequate. When the room was serviced I expected the bed... More

Check in was very slick and our room was ready before the alloted time which has we were attending a wedding was beneficial . The room was clean however very tired , cig burns on the... More

Came up for a golfing weekend and will definitely be staying there again. The Dukes Folly is a beautiful building with the most delightful and caring staff, felt very well looked after. It has cosy rooms with all the essentials you need. I highly recommend staying there and I can see myself staying there many more times in the not... More
