Nice comfy Hotel, friendly staff. Room was a good size (no 8) comfy bed. Bar prices were good as were the friendly locals. Only let down was the breakfast, only do continental with not a lot of choice, so toast and a cup of coffee not really the best.

Stayed here for a weekend break with afternoon tea and this hotel was incredible. Great staff, great service, large, spacious rooms with huge comfortable beds. Great selection of drinks at the bar and is only a small walk from the beach. Beautiful hotel, would definitely come back.

Absolutely fantastic hotel we can't fault it and will definitely be coming back with friends. The cleanliness is very good and staff very helpful. We had clean towels and room cleaned everyday. Continental breakfast was enough to set you up for the day. We will come back when in full season to try the food.

A most wonderful 6 day stay at 'The New Metro' hotel with its charming exterior and modern interior. The management and staff couldn't have been any better nothing was too much trouble. The New Metro is in the heart of Southport which is steeped in history, Car hire was not necessary as more than everything is on the door step....

We booked this hotel as a last minute thing as the hotel we originally booked was horrendous and filthy. On arrival the man who greeted us was lovely and really enthusiastic. We got a round of drinks which was only £6 (pint of peroni and souther comfort). The room was really modern and well decorated with a nice view over...

Stayed at the Metro because of some good reviews and was not disappointed. Arrived a little early so the room was not ready but we sat in the garden whilst the lady finished our room. The HAPPY HOUR which lasts most of the day certainly made us very happy. Our room was very spacious and clean overlooking the garden. The morning...

We stayed at the Metro Hotel Last night, the room was small, had no windows but it was clean, and ok for an overnight stay, the hotel in general is in need of a referb, everything seemed a little dated and tired.

Agree totally with the last review, we (girlfriend and I) also got put into room 2, with no windows, and also found it to be very hot and stuffy, and quite unpleasant over night, with neither of us getting a good nights sleep. The room itself was in good condition, bed wasn't great but OK, bathroom was tight but shower...

I arrived with my young son on 23/08/2016 for one night. My first impressions of the place were good. The front garden was nice, the hotel looked clean and the staff were friendly. We were shown to room 2, which was clean and modern, but there was no window, only a sealed skylight! The air was hot, muggy and completely...
