-As the hotel was in the countryside we called ahead to see if we could book for dinner; we were told that they were not taking any further bookings; we found out later that there were only 4 guests dining and can only assume that the manager could not have been bothered. -At check in we expected to have the... We went on a rainy afternoon for cream tea. It is very much off the beaten track but in a lovely setting. Service was friendly even though they seemed a little surprised to see us. The scones, jam and cream were lovely and they also packed up what we didn't eat so we could take it away with us which... More

We booked this accommodation after moving from a disappointing stay at a nearby holiday village. The staff did their very best to accommodate us when the hotel was busy and even made amendments to a room to fit us in. On arrival we were shown to our lovely room which overlooked the gardens. The room was clean and comfortable. The... More

It was a peaceful, tranquil location yet family centred. From the pool, the games room, the trampoline, big field for ball games and even the peacock roaming the grounds...what a family break! When we got home the kids said, thank you for a fantastic holiday! Debbie was extremely helpful...she really worked her socks off to please!

We were made to feel very welcome, especially after arriving much later than planned due to a delayed departure and Bank Holiday traffic. Once at Trimstone Manor our difficult day was a distant memory and we really did unwind with a glass of wine and a delicious meal. The venison was the best my hubby has ever tasted and cooked... Stayed here the last weekend in May, and it is most certainly difficult to fault the view and the attention of the staff! Greeted by a very friendly lady, she made us feel comfortable and made us giggle. We had booked a double room however, something had gone wrong on the booking so we had ended up with a twin... More

We arrived and were shown into a room where the décor does not match, the bar was shabby chic modern in an old fashioned room. Served with a bottle of Merlow that was terrible, and a beer shandy for me the driver, lemonade in a can ! the bar person / waiter and I feel chef were all the same... More

Dear Richard T from South Molton. Oh dear. What a climb down for your ‘luxury traveller’ ‘Amex Traveller’ ‘Wine connoisseur’ it must have been for you. I am sorry I wasn’t there – I was on a five-star business course for a few days on the High Seas but as soon as I returned I heard about the problems you... More

My wife and I stayed here for a week in the Granary Cottage self catering apartment. Very comfortable it was too. I'm recovering from a bad back and because of this I asked before arrival for a super king bed. Upon arrival this had not been provided. The receptionist was very apologetic and soon rectified the situation. I had stayed... More

Booked this Hotel via trip advisor and late rooms for £80 per night, booking was confirmed. Within 3 days contacted by the hotel saying they could not honour the price. We would need to pay an additional £24 per night for breakfast and an additional £20 per night for the room. The hotel blamed this on late rooms having the... More

Stayed at Trimstone Manor for 2 nights with my friend and my dog. Location was lovely, really great base for exploring the surrounding area, Croyde, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. The grounds were very spacious and it was very quiet. Our patio opened out on to a large field where the chickens and geese were kept and where guests could walk their... More
