Stayed here recently for 4 nights in the ground floor room and really enjoyed the experience. Lynne has only recently taken over - I think she said from February 16 and admitted that the place needs redecoration and they will do this ongoing . However my room was clean and the bed comfortable and the breakfasts cooked by Laura were... More

Ok it is dated but the owner lynne has only had it since the start of the year and it was run by a very old couple. Speaking to her and her daughter Laura we do believe there is a program of work scheduled for the winter. But please go now. The service and food was lovely and the place... More

We had the family rooms with en-suite bathroom. The rooms were simply furnished but very comfortable, at the top of the house. We appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits in our room (although it would have been nice to have had some herbal teas too), and our children were generously supplied with squash and crisps! The breakfast... More

Myself and the boyfriend had a lovely stay here for one night on the 17th September. We had such a warm welcome and instantly felt relaxed after being shown around and given a quick overview of the area and the plan of the two minute walk to the tunnels beach. Parking was easy and the area was nice and quiet.... More

Stayed here for 3 nights @the end of August in the family room with our adult son & we could not fault the place for what you pay... Comfortable & surprisingly spacious room albeit up 4 flights of stairs that was clean & tidy with basic but fully functional ensuite bath & shower room with toilet... Breakfast was gargantuan &... Just got back from our stay, can not thank Alison and Graham enough for saving our holiday, we had to leave our booked accommodation due to it being horrendous and they managed to get rooms sorted for us within the hour. Although a little dated The Sherbourne Lodge had everything we needed breakfast was excellent and when our dog needed... More

Have stayed in better 2* accommodation than the Sherbourne Lodge. The atmosphere was musty and reflected the age of the property. Rooms that had been vacated were not cleaned or made ready for the next occupier for days due to lack of staff. This was reflected in the price of accommodation. The owners temperament was very volatile and was always... More

Thank you for spending time reviewing your stay at our accommodation. I am so glad you enjoyed your breakfasts. You are quite right that we were short of staff at the time of your stay. As you were well aware, my husband had been rushed to hospital at the weekend and only arrived home on the day of your arrival.... More

We turned up early for our two night stay, no big issue, the owners were out but phoned them and they said they'd be back in 10 mins. Nice to have somewhere with parking. We were shown to our room which was nice, clean and airy. Breakfast on the Sunday we asked for at 7am and was accomodated for with... More

Thank you for your pleasant review of our accommodation. I enjoyed your stay with us and the chats over breakfast about road running bought back some great memories. Look forward to seeing you next year. More
