Lovely hotel, only a short walk from the town centre and harbour-front. Breakfast was very good; wide variety of choices available from fruit, yoghurt, cereal and toast to a full English (which was cooked really well). We also had the Sunday dinner and it was delicious; choice of meat, selection of fresh seasonal vegetables and accompaniments. The rooms were clean... More

The beds are very comfortable; there is free wifi. It is an old building and in need of some work which is being done with no disruption to guests. The toilet and shower facilities are perfectly adequate. What makes the excellent mark is the genuine warm welcome from the proprietor. we were a family of five in two rooms and... More

Bathroom was horrid, had excrement around the base of the toilet when we arrived and water poured out the back if flushed, the owner did have this repaired thankfully, but it was not cleaned properly. Very poor pressure in the shower also, it was like being dribbled on. The rest of the room was clean, but the decor was quite... More

This is the second time we have stayed here in the matter of 3 weeks. The host Lynne is a fantastic host and I know she will do very well. The breakfast as always was superb (and to give Betsy our dog a bowl of sausages and scrambled egg was such a lovely touch). Obviously dogs made very welcome. I... More

Stayed here recently for 4 nights in the ground floor room and really enjoyed the experience. Lynne has only recently taken over - I think she said from February 16 and admitted that the place needs redecoration and they will do this ongoing . However my room was clean and the bed comfortable and the breakfasts cooked by Laura were... More

Ok it is dated but the owner lynne has only had it since the start of the year and it was run by a very old couple. Speaking to her and her daughter Laura we do believe there is a program of work scheduled for the winter. But please go now. The service and food was lovely and the place... More

We had the family rooms with en-suite bathroom. The rooms were simply furnished but very comfortable, at the top of the house. We appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits in our room (although it would have been nice to have had some herbal teas too), and our children were generously supplied with squash and crisps! The breakfast... More

Myself and the boyfriend had a lovely stay here for one night on the 17th September. We had such a warm welcome and instantly felt relaxed after being shown around and given a quick overview of the area and the plan of the two minute walk to the tunnels beach. Parking was easy and the area was nice and quiet.... More
