Lower Campscott is a perfect place to stay in Devon. The accommodation is very warm and comfortable and the owners are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. We particularly enjoyed feeding the pigs our vegetable peelings and saying hello to Nuisance the sheep! Can't recommend highly enough, especially with children,...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we're pleased you enjoyed your stay in Stables and had fun with Nuisance the sheep - he does seem to think he's a dog rather than a sheep and is always glad of fuss and attention. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Thank you so much, we really enjoyed hosting your special celebrations and seeing everyone enjoy themselves so much on the farm. It was great that your family and friends could pitch in to give you the day you wanted, your decorations in the marquee and the flowers all looked amazing. Our stay in Firtree Lodge at Lower Campscott Farm exceeded our expectations, due to the warm welcome, spacious, clean accommodation, good views, quiet location and homemade scones on arrival, we couldn't have asked for more! It's a lovely friendly farm, and we felt safe letting our 2 young daughters explore the grounds by themselves. They especially enjoyed helping Tony feed...

Stayed in the stable and would be happy to move in as our home. Wanted for nothing to make enjoyable break at any time of year. Sleeps 3 and dog loved it with walks outside front door. Ideal base for that area for walkers or those just requiring a break from hustle and bustle. Already thinking of returning with grandson...

Spent a lovely week in mid August staying in Fuscia Cottage- just right for four, two adults and two children. Really nice accommodation at a lovely family friendly farm in a great location. Our children (one 5 and one 9 months) both really enjoyed seeing the animals and play areas- inside and outdoor ones. The owners were very wecolming and...

For me so lovely to be able to walk early mornings and see rabbits, deer and the sea washing up against the wall. Fantastic for our dog Boz as he loved his walks and all the animals on the farm, especially the pigs! Although we have no children it was obvious it was a great place for them as we...

We stayed at the Fir lodge for a week in August, the lodge was well maintained and clean & our hosts were welcoming and helpful. The kids had a great time feeding the animals everyday and the playground helped keep them busy. Overall we had a lovely stay & would not hesitate to recommending Lower Campscott Farm.

We stayed in Hydrangea which was plenty big enough for our family of 4 with two older children. It was nicely furnished with a lovely sunny aspect most of the day. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our spacious farm cottages are set in 35 tranquil acres within our own private and picturesque valley overlooking Lee Bay, in an enviably peaceful location, with roads and neighbours over quarter of a mile away! There'll be a delicious Devon cream tea with home baked scones waiting for you when you arrive and all our 4* graded cottages and lodges are furnished and equipped to a high standard to offer you the comforts of home. Every cottage has a dishwasher, washer dryer, wifi, central heating and unlimited hot water from our green biomass boiler that help keeps our carbon footprint low and your comfort levels high! We welcome families, couples and groups alike. Children especially love the fresh air and freedom, with plenty of outdoor space to explore, and for rainy days the games room keeps everyone entertained. Spend the day on the farm and meet the animals, spot the abundant wildlife, help collect eggs or feed the ducks on our ponds. For all that, we are only a short walk along public footpaths to Lee and its local Craft Shop and traditional village pub. There are miles of public footpaths around Lee Bay and the South West Coast Path - we are happy to provide maps and can suggest walks in the local area. Only ten minutes away by car you can enjoy the family friendly and surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde or visit Ilfracombe with its famous Victorian Tunnel beaches. The Tarka trail is right on your doorstep - so bring your bike! Explore Exmoor, take a long day out to Lundy, the Eden project or visit one of the numerous local attractions such as the Sheepdog and Falconry displays at Borough Farm (famous for Channel 5's Mist the sheepdog) which is just up the road. We have a large supply of ideas for days out. Or just simply relax...We are open all year for holidays and short breaks. Dogs are very welcome. ... more   less
