We arrived at the hotel and was greated with a smile by 'Nick' who was the owners son. He was very helpful and as the hotel doesnt have parking advised us of the best place to park which was in the long stay carpark 5 mins walk away from the hotel. We were put in room '9' which was right... More

In case you're wondering why I've given it a title from Cbeebies Seseme Street puppet show; it's because of our 3 year old. This Victorian hotel is nothing like my son has ever stopped in before, and he declared we were stopping at the Furchester Hotel. I'll try to explain.... The positioning of this hotel is perfect. We were retuning... More

I found this guest house to be a bit of a curate’s egg. Being positive, breakfast was very good and served in the restaurant, which serves reasonable fare at lunch time and in the evenings at reasonable prices. The owners were more than helpful and friendly and gave the impression that they would help out a guest if they got... More

The BEST thing about this place is the owners. They are friendly, helpful and would do anything to make your stay enjoyable. This is so nice to have while on a short holiday break, so thank you for that. The harbour lights also opens as a restuarant in the evening. We have eaten here three times now, and the food... More

With all the glowing reports this hotel has received the owners had a lot to live up to. But they did pretty well. They've got a beautiful little hotel in a stunning location and the welcome they offer is personal and genuine. It's the only time I've been taken on a tour of all the vacant rooms and told take... A very pleasent guest house with rooms above the restaurant and situated very close to the harbour, pubs, restaurants and the relatively opened Wetherspoons. The rooms were fine, tastefully decorated, clean with a good supply of toiletries and coffee and tea. The owners obviously take note of guest comments. An earlier report stated rooms were noisy (not ours in September)... More

This is a very well established B&B, located close to the harbour and the high street. Owners were absolutely wonderful and welcoming with big warm smiles. They couldn't do enough for me. They gave me excellent advice about parking which saved me money. Breakfast was lovely. My only suggestion to the owners would be to move the TV in front... More

This family run restaurant and b and b has to be one of the best in the UK. Conveniently located a stone's throw away from the harbour, the welcome was warm and inviting. Our rooms were spacious, clean and homely. Everything was provided. We ate in the restaurant three out of our four night stay and enjoyed delicious fish and... More

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend at the end of August 2014. The staff were lovely and friendly and very accommodating!! We stayed in a family room which (NOT the hotels fault) was a little noisy on the first night as the town was very busy celebrating a locals birthday, we asked if their was... More
