This hotel was a total Rip off! We stayed in a family room with our 3 children, the room was tiny we couldn't move in it! The furniture was old and tatty. The beds were so uncomfortable with 1 flat pillow each! The shower was broken and the room hadnt even been cleaned!!!! I had to wipe out all the... More

We visited this hotel with our three grand children, one 12 and twins aged 8. We had a family room with a double bed, single bed and bunks. It was quite a large room, big enough for us all to move around in. Kathy served up a great breakfast, full English for the adults and the kids had boiled eggs... More

We have discovered a little gem on the Isle of Wight, This hotel is run by Kathy the landlady who makes you so welcome. She will help you in any way she can and has the knowledge of all the secret places to visit on the Island. She made us so comfortable it was like home from home. The breakfasts... More

My first time to rate a B & B with a poor customer service. I will start with few good points: (a) very close to the town center, few shops and beach (b) the cheapest B & B rate so far I found on my last minute on line search. The CONS (a) Not enough parking space, you have to... More

This was my third time staying at the Sandhill and again I wasn't disappointed. The staff are already friendly and helpful, and take a genuine interest in what you've been doing with your day. The rooms are well maintained and cosy for getting your head down at the end of the day, and the hotel is a good distance away... More

We had a lovely stay for one night. Kathy was really friendly and very helpful. She really worked hard to make sure we had all we needed. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We stayed in a family room which suited us perfectly - a double bed, bunk beds and a cot for our youngest child. Breakfast was delicious and... More

“If this had been a holiday we would have had a very direct conversation with the owners at opening time in the morning, we are opening own B and B here in Scotland so understand what people are looking for, as for Sandhill I wouldn't even let my dog stay there for a night.”

“ask if you have special requirements, we were put in a ground floor room without having to ask as my 92 yr old mother was with me, the staff are increbibly accommodating, and to cap it all you can even take your dog if you wish!!”
