The rooms were attractively decorated (no chintz!) in a contemporary style and spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable, the quality of the bed linen was excellent and even the pillow was perfect. The showers were also very good. Margaret was a very friendly and helpful host - nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend The Belmore as a... More

This was our second stay at this lovely B&B Margaret and Michael were very friendly hosts providing good advice on places to visit. Also superb breakfasts. The room was very clean and comfortable. Ideally situated not far from the seafront, restaurants and shops. We would happily pay a return visit.

Thank you to the lovely and charming hosts, Michael & Margaret. Belmore feels more like a luxurious family home run by close friends than a B&B. You're greeted with a friendly laugh and smile and shown to a spacious, well decorated room, with en-suite and welcome tea tray. Everything you could possibly need is available in the rooms and the... More

Stayed here last week for two days. My mother and I were revisiting IOW. We had a twin and a single room both ensuite. The place is freshly decorated and the rooms clean. We had a warm welcome and lovely cuppa. Breakfast is nice. Bathrooms are small but plenty of hot water. Parking nearby. very close to the beach

The B and B is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast is beautifully cooked delicious and varied. I particularly love the fresh fruit and greek yhogurt.Also... More

The owners of this establishment will quickly tell you that the has only been doing B&B for two years and it shows. Whilst clearly eager to please there are some real basics missing. Our carpet in the room had not been hovered. We were give fresh milk at 8pm for our tea in the morning on the hottest night of... More

Fresh fruit daily, lovely coffee and cooked breakfast was always cooked to perfection. Margaret and her husband were lovely hosts and looked after my daughter and i extremely well:)

Having read previous reviews we expected a nice welcome, an enjoyable stay and a lasting memory. We were not disappointed. Mike and Margaret made us welcome with a lovely cup of tea and chat. The room was excellent and breakfast most enjoyable. We discussed our plans for the day at breakfast and Mike and Margaret made suggestions on places to... More

The Belmore is a large Victorian town house located just a 2 minute walk from Sandown's glorious golden sandy beaches and Pier. There are great independant shops, restaurants and bars, cycle tracks, coastal foot paths and fantastic places to visit, such as the Isle Of Wight Zoo and Dinosaur Isle, all on your doorstep. Sandown boasts a 2014 Beach award and is the perfect place to build sand castles, kite surf or muck about on body boards. Our location is the perfect base to explore and discover the rest of the Island. Whether you want to walk with dinosaurs, discover the secrets of Queens Victoria's family home, or explore the beautiful and rich array of countryside, The Belmore is the place to stay. There are vast amounts of sailing, walking and cycling options, a stunning coastline and miles of beautiful sandy beaches where you can lie back, relax and bask in the sunshine. You will always be assured of a warm welcome and friendly service throughout your stay. We believe in conversation and personal touches and love to greet our guests with a cup of tea whatever time of arrival. All our rooms are designed for the utmost comfort and relaxation. We have the luxurious traditional four-poster suite, a fun family room and a variety of single and double rooms. All have modern luxury en-suite showers, a flat screen freeview T.V, free broadband access, a generous hospitality tray, hairdryer, and most importantly, a fabulous comfortable bed with luxury linens. We stick by the golden rule that breakfast is the most important meal of the day; we offer a variety of pastries, cereals, fresh fruits and yoghurt followed by that Great British tradition, the cooked breakfast. We use locally sourced ingrediants where-ever possible and it is all cheerfully served in our sunny breakfast room, and is intended to set you up for the rest of your day! We invite you to come and explore the delights and mysteries the Island has to offer, have fun and discover something new. We sincerely hope to welcome you to the Belmore in the future.
