My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night and it's safe to say that we won't be coming back. There is no car park here, which wasn't even mentioned on the website, so it was a pain trying to find somewhere to park without paying or being fined! Admittedly this is probably the nicest hotel in the... More

We stayed in room 66 and although top floor it had great views over Sandown Bay and the pier. Room came with tea/coffee making facilities, tv and en suite. Downstairs was a restaurant serving good evening meals ( designed for half board or pre booked I would believe) but looked a good choice. Breakfast was a full choice right up... More

I was only here for one night and I feel that's all you really need in Sandown. The hotel looks a bit run down as does all the other hotels in the area. You would think that because it is such a great location Sandown would be really popular and the hotels would look nice. Anyway, the guy at the... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We take on board your comments about the member of staff's lack of knowledge and will address this issue with training in future. We do not understand how this has happened as information is at hand at Reception for members of staff to refer to. For this we can only... More

First visit to the hotel and indeed the island. My idea of a holiday hotel is simply a clean room to kip in and decent grub. That is what I got. The bedroom (53) was clean with a sea view. Colour TV and ample tea/coffee making facilities on hand. The toilet/shower was small but hey, I only need somewhere to... More

I have just returned home from yet another happy stay at The Royal Pier Hotel. This is a friendly, welcoming hotel, right by the beech and important for me who likes to travel the Island by bus close to a stop. The actual hotel is clean and tidy. My room was nice and warm with a comfortable bed. The meals... More

Just arrived home after yet another great trip. Yes the hotel is dated but I think that all adds to the ambiance of 'A Victorian Seaside Holiday'. The beds are spotless and the food served hot and varied. The entertainment is fit-for-purpose ie mature guests on the whole, but young at heart!!! The swimming pool and jacuzzi is an added... More

First of all let me say that this hotel is not wheelchair friendly, and situated on a hill neither is the immediate neighbourhood, having said that if you can walk a little there is a perfectly adequate lift. The rooms are bright and airy and kept spotless. The food is brilliant and always hot, and then there is the staff.... More
