Stayed one night hiking the Baltic coastal trail & needed some rest. Peaceful place 20min by foot south of Padise monastery/manor. I stayed in one of the wooden barrels. Comfy beds, clean toilet/shower facilities. They didn’t serve dinner but breakfast which usually starts at 7 but Ella/Uelle allowed me to go into the kitchen & have it early. Wifi just in common areas. Would stay there again if in the area!
I accidentally found this place by following signs into the forest. The owner Ella is very friendly. I took a room I the dormitory for 20 euros per night, 5 euros for breakfast and a great beer for 4 euros. As it’s remote, Ella made a nice dinner as well. The dorm room is above the main house. However I hear there are tent pitches as well as cabins for rent. WiFi is great. Because mobile reception not always there. The only comment is that they should be more conscious of cleanliness. The dorm room was relatively clean but the common areas not.
This camping great choise if you planning visit Kalju lava concert and not want to go same night to home.Camping area is very big and you can sporting, make a fire swimming or go to sauna.Breakfast was also good.Only problem is ants in bedroom.
Had a really nice time in Kallaste. The price is definitely worth the good quality and service we got there. Tasty Estonian home made foods and a lot of different ways to spend your day. Can't way to come back soon!
We spent one night here in a tent. It was expensive by Estonian standards (7€ each person), but at least it included free hot showers and almost decent kitchen. Children will love this place as there's a flock of goat and geese running wild around. There's also some kind of adventure park for the young, dance stage and a museum exhibiting old farming machinery. There was also kayaks by the small river, I don't know if they are for rent. Staff spoke quite well English and Finnish. The location is great if you wanna see the Rummu soviet prison and go swimming there, Kallaste is just few kilometers away from the beach. Don't miss Rummu if you are around, it's spectacular place!
