**DO NOT RECOMMEND - SKIP IT** This hotel certainly is NOT 4 stars and it's certainly not worth the money. The best thing about it is the location with a private beach and the complex that it's nice and walkable. Beyond that, it fails on many levels. The good: - Location with a nice beach - Free water sports and activities on the beach (kayaks, stand up paddle boarding, sailing, eclipse, volleyball, snorkeling) - Adults only The bad: Service, food, drinks: - Service in general is exceptionally bad and very slow: waiters and bartenders do not express any desire to help you and some usually look miserable. For example, the bartenders makes your "mixed drink" and doesn't even stir it, instead, tells you to get yourself a straw and mix it yourself (as snobbish as this might sound, this is the bare minimum of what I would expect at any hospitality/service-based institution especially an all inclusive hotel) - Quality of drinks are subpar - Fend-for-yourself beach chairs, and towels sometimes not available - No waiters to bring you food/drinks, all walk-up service that takes 20-30 minutes for a basic lunch where you have to stand in an unorganized queue (even then, sometimes certain foods are not available and you just wasted a half hour of your precious vacation time just waiting for subpar food) - The fact that you need to make reservations for the first come first serve dinners at the restaurants is crazy to me. Not only is it a hassle (staff is only available on certain times) but you have to make reservations 48 hours maximum ahead of time and schedule a time otherwise you are stuck with the bad quality buffet - even then, the portions at the restaurants are small and sometimes there's a disproportionate surcharge - Do not count on the Wi-Fi anywhere on the resort despite advertising that they have it Rooms: - They're just OK, on the small side, and noticeably dated

If you are thinking about coming here, book it! The pictures do not do this place justice it was a wonderful suprise. First of all we were treated so kindly and felt welcomed from the very start until the moment of leaving. We stayed 8 nights and I will tell you that here you cannot be bored! Walking through the resort is like you are in a fairy tail, with butterflies flying all around you due to them planting milkweed throughout the resort, we even saw tons of catapillars about to change to butterflies! The palm trees and plants were breathtaking. The food was amazing, the beach was beautiful and the rooms were clean and very beach feeling. We played tennis, shot some pool, took dance classes. We didn't stop. All kinds of games throughout the resort added such a unique touch. What I also loved was that it was not commercialized. It had a unique authentic vibe. We actually got married here during our stay and our day could not have gone any more smooth. Absolutely beautiful and everyone was so kind and we felt special. Even though it is covid times it was extremely clean, and we felt like we can relax and enjoy ourselves and get away. We will definitely come back on our anniversary! Dont look any further and book your stay here. You won't regret it.

We stayed here for NYE 2020 and do not recommend it. A few caveats: (1) the resort employees were all friendly and helpful; and (2) we don't like all-inclusive resorts; given the pandemic, we took what we could get. First, be forewarned that this resort is far from most of the interesting parts of Antigua, i.e., St. John's, the English Harbour, etc. More importantly, the resort failed on multiple occasions to provide basic necessities. As the most glaring example, we declined to get cash outside of the resort because the resort promised we could get a cash advance from there. The day of our departure, the resort claimed that it had no cash available. Yes, you read that correctly. This led to a cascading series of unfortunate events. Drivers must be paid in cash, so we had to find an ATM. The first five didn't work, and ultimately, one of us missed our flight after it took too long to find cash to pay the driver. Had the resort not assured us it'd provide a cash advance, none of this would have occurred. Other issues abound. For example, on a resplendent day, we went to the resort's private beach. The towel pantry was empty at both the beach and the adjacent private pool. We asked on repeated occasions for towels. Fast forward more than two hours, and the towel pantries remained empty. We left. Inexcusable -- particularly given the inadvisability of reusing towels during a pandemic. We had a few other problems. In a vacuum, no single issue was too vexing, but put it together and you've got dissatisfaction. A non-exclusive list includes: (1) the front desk forgetting to write down our NYE dinner reservation, leading to a significant delay before finally eating; (2) I had to request a trash bin for our room; (3) the patio door was partially broke; and (4) disorganized and slow breakfast service. As I said, this poor review should not reflect on the individual employees. Rather, if you're going to stay in Antigua (frankly, I don't recommend it), stay closer to the action and at a resort with better attention to baseline details.

We went in January 2021 with our college age children and had a wonderful time. Staff is very friendly and capable. Beach is excellent, with good -- but not too rough -- waves for swimming. Two pools including very refreshing infinity pool by beach. Non-motorized water sports -- kayaks, paddleboards -- and winds are great for sailing. Food is generally very good, particularly breakfasts, barbeque lunches at The Outhouse, and dinner at Pineapple Grill and Chef Pietro's. Coffee shop with great espresso drinks and sweets. Gym pleased my college football playing son. This is the kind of resort more of which existed 20 years ago where you can relax, read, sail, play ping pong and pool (and tennis); in short, have a vacation. Rooms are not luxurious, but perfectly adequate for size; bed was very comfortable in Garden View rooms and showers fine with nice toiletries. Some aspects of the resort could use a little updating, some extra lighting would help in the room, and they might have more variety for wine drinkers, but all in all it is a great value with wonderful staff. Just don't expect the Four Seasons.
