Stayed 2 nights at Oak Tree Lodge. Very clean b&b. Breakfast was very good. The owner was very helpful, suggesting good restaurants and a nice walk along the coast to Tynemouth. He even gave us a lift to the ice rink as it was raining.

Our stay was very pleasant, the hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We were advised of the best places to visit and restaurants for meals. The bed was very comfortable and room lovely and warm in October, a good choice for breakfast, which was delicious.

The location is excellent, situated within a 5 minute walk from the Metro station and the local shops. The host was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean and cosy. Breakfast was very good quality. Much better than staying in Newcastle city centre. I definitely recommend it!

Amazing little place, we never meant to come to Whitley, this hotel made us glad we did. The best we've stayed in in the North. Just off the beach, quiet but close to the night life. Breakfast was amazing, best coffee, bacon and eggs! We will come back
