We visited my partners brother and family who live 15 minutes walk away. We’ve stayed in different places before over the years and stay coastal was really nice. We stayed Friday to Sunday. The place is new with a well fitted preparation area for food, microwave, kettle and fridge. (Could do with a toaster). Bathroom room is great with walk in shower. There’s a nice area before the main room which is storage for luggage and serves as a walkthrough wardrobe. Whitley Bay is undergoing a transformation and whilst the streets nearby are mixed in terms of niceness there is still some way to go. However, within 10 minutes walk there are some really nice bars, cafe and restaurants..

We found place for a last minute stay and it was lovely. Spotlessly clean and well equipped, very convenient for the beach and local sights. Handy self check-in with door codes. We stayed in the family studio at the top (no 7). The only gripe was that for 2 small kids, the twin beds weren't the best; narrow and high, and due to the layout of the room, couldn't be pushed against a wall. So we spent the whole first night putting the kids back into bed when they rolled out, having put all the sofa cushions in the "drop zone"! The next two nights the kids got the much lower double bed and us adults got relegated to the singles... Apart from that, lovely stay and would recommend.

I stayed at this hotel quite recently, which is a very convenient short walk from the Metro station. My room was on the top floor, extremely well appointed and fresh from a recent complete refurbishment. A Queen size and comfortable bed with crisp white linen. There are many restaurants within a few minutes walk in town, and also along the beautiful white sandy beach front, where you can enjoy a quality breakfast should you prefer not to self cater in your bedroom where there are facilities.

We both loved our stay here, warm and comfortable. Beds were super comfy. Loved the Smart TVs which makes all the difference. The kitchette space is a great addition to the room along with the amazing condiments including locally sourced coffee which is beautiful. Room decor is very modern and tasteful. Views are absolutely amazing and nothing better than sitting on the window seat with a coffee and admiring the beauty of Whitley Bay. Finally the bathroom was amazing, its so nice to have a powerful shower! Highly recommended!!
