Stayed here for a weekend away in Whitley Bay to see a show at the Playhouse (only 5 minutes walk away!). The location is great for the beach, restaurants, bars and the Metro station which we used on the Saturday to go to Newcastle city centre. (A 10 minute walk to the station and approx 20 minutes on the metro).... More

We stayed at Park Lodge Hotel for 3 nights at the end of August 2016. We were meeting friends from the States who had been visiting Scotland. We were also visiting family who live in the area. Before I made the booking (originally on line) I had called Liz, the owner, with some questions about the rooms. I knew from... More

Stayed here for 12 nights, and found it very comfortable and quiet. It is not a huge hotel, but the rooms are en-suite and well appointed. Location was perfect for us, close to attractions, pubs, restaurants, the sea front and public transport. Liz the host is super friendly, makes an excellent breakfast, and will ensure you have all you need... More

Liz is the perfect host and really does go the extra mile to ensure her guests feel at home the room was bright and spacious and the little extras such as robes and slippers and a very good brew station made it special. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order, she even got white bread especially for my fussy... More

Inspired by the wonderful floral displays fronting the quaint accommodation, which we were lucky enough to find on a wing and a prayer and greeted by the even more colourful lady of the house ... Liz, in anticipation could not begin to realise the experience awaiting us. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Liz showed us to our immaculate and... More

Liz, the owner of Park Lodge knows all there is to know about hospitality. Although we arrived really late at night we could not have received a warmer welcome. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional. Even the jams were homemade. Great value for money, We could not fault a thing. I don't know where she... More

Have just returned from a two night stay here. What a beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable little gem this is. Hostess Liz is a warm and friendly lady with nothing being too much trouble. Breakfast is a three course meal in itself and kept us going for the whole day! Would thoroughly recommended staying here and if we are ever... More

Booked Park Lodge for Rugby League Magic Weekend, not on a recommendation, just what was available for that weekend. The Hotel is run by a lovely, chatty Yorkshire woman called Liz and nothing was too much trouble, the room we had was a twin with a wet room shower for Disabled people, which we are, all the bedding, fittings and...
