Stayed here recently with my family. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel recently refurbished and rooms were very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Excellent breakfast too. Good value for money.

Accidental but very fortunate find, lovely room all that is needed and more. The microwave and fridge a real bonus when working away from home - I don't always feel like searching out somewhere to eat. Very friendly staff , nothing too much trouble. Great range for breakfast.

I've stayed here a couple of times now, and the experience has been consistently very good with an easy booking process, off road parking available, friendly welcome on arrival, and an excellent breakfast. Location wise it's perfect for (what's left of) Whitley Bay's attractions. It is however more like a B&B than a full service hotel - so no bar...

We stayed 2 nights and had to move rooms ( which was easily accommodated) as the first room was overlooking a noisy road. I say ok as it was ok for a B&B but the price was that of a 4* hotel in Newcastle. Sadly there isn't much competition in Whitley Bay which probably explains the pricing. Service was great...

Over the last thirteen years I have visited the York house hotel with family & friends and I can say the standards are always excellent. Michael & his staff are so friendly and nothing is too much bother for them. I visit Whitley Bay 3/4 times a year to see family and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. Can...

My sister and I stayed here for two days to visit friends in the North East. The room was clean and spacious. We had a family room which was a little extra but well worth it for the extra space, two beds and facilities of fridge and microwave. Tea and coffee failities always available, room and ensuite cleaned daily. Towels...

Wonderful accomodation with every comfort. Great staff, very friendly, and Michael (the hotel owner) always makes us feel welcome. We have been staying here for many years and have stayed in different rooms, always of a very high standard, and we particularly enjoy the benefit of a fridge and microwave. The full English breakfast is delicious and is thoroughly recommended...
