Samadhi was magical, I was there for 2 weeks doing yoga training. The property is artistic and manicured daily. All employees I came into contact with we're friendly and accommodating. Kitchen staff went out of their way for all of us, even surprising me with a birthday cake! They also strictly followed my gluten free diet. Be ready for a gourmet vegetarian diet! If you have anemia or are they toe in need of a high protein diet I suggest planning protein bars and jerky. The bungalows and suites were so clean and comfortable. Be prepared for laundry to take some time as it is done by hand and hung dry. Also, when in Peru you will never know when the water may run out or experience problems so I suggest showering at the earliest point in your day (this was my second trip to Peru and water has always been a bit of a struggle). The main house is large with nice vibes. We trained on the top floor in a room made nearly all of windows, gorgeous! If you have time to take a walk, ask Fernando or staff how to walk to the pottery shop in town and enjoy the dogs and local farm life along the way. You're also not a far drive from a really nice museo, the town of Pisac or Ollyantaytambo.

Huge thanks to Fernando, Elizabeth and the Samadhi family for welcoming me and my fellow yogis with open arms and hosting a wonderful experience that we will remember forever! Delicious & nutritious food, warm hearted staff, spectacular rooms & facility, stunning views & yoga studio! Yoga Teacher Training was also incredible with Pedro & his team! A life changing experience that I will carry with me both on and off my mat for decades.

Nestled in the Sacred Valley is the beautiful Samadhi retreat center. Seven beautiful guest cottages spiral down the hill with a beautiful spiral path meant to capture the kundalini energy. Beautiful flower gardens circle the bungalows and wind up the path. Below is a fire pit with a circular seating area where our group enjoyed breathtaking views of the stars. Even though it was a full moon during our stay, I've never seen so many stars. Speaking of the full moon, thru the skylight in my bungalow I got to have a "moon bath" at night. It was also a beautiful experience to wake up to the view of the mountains from my window every morning. A little further down is a garden where some of the food for our meals was harvested. The food we were served was both healthy and creative, like a piece of art delivered to you at each meal. The main area and yoga area also offer stunning views of the mountains surrounding you. I could look at them for days and see something different every day. Perhaps one of the nicest parts of this magical place is the family that runs it. Fernando and his family were warm and friendly and made us feel like we were part of the family. He took time to answer any questions and was very informative about the area and culture and happy to take the time to share this with his visitors. Our guides during the tours we took were knowledgeable and cared about the land and history. Samadhi is currently expanding to make non retreat accommodations and I'm sure these will be as lovely as the retreat center. Fernando and his family helped make this an even more memorable trip of a lifetime! The only downside is you might not want to ever leave!
