Stayed 6 nights, found it very welcoming and excellent value. Eric even dropped our cases at the Ferry Terminal to save us going back to the hotel. The reviews are very good for a very simple reason - Eric and his wife know how to provide a friendly welcome and a great stay.

Realy this is not a hotel, but closer to a guest house. The host Eric could really not do too much for you, and went out of his way the make the stay enjoyable. The breakfasts are excellent, there is a smallish lounge as part of the dining room with TV and computer access. The rooms, although compact are very clean... More

I wanted a cheap hotel for a short business trip. This hotel was among the cheapest I could find, so no complaints on that score. The proprietor (Mr Li) was very welcoming and willing to help, even carrying out large suitcase up to the 4th (top floor). And his breakfasts were good. But, although clean enough, it's has a "low-rent"... More

This is a three star hotel with a five star service, Modern room with en-suite bathroom. Cooked breakfast to your specification, I chose Manx kippers and was even offered a fried egg on top. I had an evening appointment in a town restaurant and the ever helpful Eric gave me a lift there. No hesitation in recommending the Adelphi for... More

I contacted this hotel last minute to stay here on my own on my wedding eve ( bear in mind it was TT week so everywhere was full ) and spoke to Eric who was very helpful to make sure everything I requested was done. The room was cosy and relaxing, breakfast was full English which set me up for... More

Quite a retro feel to the property, but Eric couldn't be more helpful. Full of information & tips for our stay, which was just out of season. Provided us with plates & cutlery to eat our evening takeaway in the breakfast room.

I booked to stay here 22-25 April but BA messed up my flights. At 20:09 on 22 April I received a rather abusive phone call asking where I was and when I tried to explain they just cut the call off. I've now discovered that the full charge for the three days was applied to my credit card five minutes... More

It is most irksome to find that some reviewers compare the Adelphi with the Ritz and find it lacking. This is a traditional B&B with all the plusses and a few of the minuses you would expect. Everyone praises Eric, the host, and rightly so. Nothing is too much trouble for him, given notice he will even get you kippers... More

Great hospitality by Eric and his wife. Even offered to pick me up from ferry terminal as it was late and dark. Single room very clean, with flat screen TV with all TV and radio channels, tea/coffee making and very clean en-suite toilet and shower. Nice large dining room with plenty to eat breakfast. Kippers and mushrooms if 24 hour... More
