About
Description
One of the most elegant buildings on the Isle of Man, The Rutland is the latest addition to the Sleepwell Group. Following a multi-million pound refurbishment, The Rutland has been transformed into a stunning 64 More bedroom hotel offering comfort, style and quality to both business and leisure customers. The Rutland is situated on the Queens Promenade in Douglas and enjoys beautiful panoramic views across Douglas Bay and is only a short walk to the town centre. Please note that due to the original architectural features of our Isle of Man Hotels, they are not suitable for any guests requiring 'Wheelchair' or 'Street level access', as all have external steps to access the hotel entrance. Like the song, this was the ' pub' with no beer.! As the establishment was closing for the Season last Saturday, you could probably believe it was understandable that they would not wish to have a cellar full of kegs, left to go stale, whilst closed. But as they were also keen to

We are getting the catamaran over from Liverpool to visit you. Is the hotel walkable distance from the ferry terminal?
Yes It's a nice walk, depending on the weather, just follow the prom along till you get opposite the hotel. About half hour or so I guess. After dinner at the hotel I would walk the prom to the ferry terminal for a coffee - there's a Costa café inside, then walk back.

I am hoping for a Manx Kipper to be on the breakfast menu for our coach visit in October
As some of the travellers said above, they can be ordered just a bit extra.

Do all your bathrooms have a shower? Either over bath or shower cabinet. Group holiday organiser.
Yes all rooms are fully en-suite and have a shower. Some rooms also have an optional bath as well, if this is required please advise prior to arrival so we may allocate the room accordingly.

Is there only one lift in the hotel? Do coach party guest have help with luggage? What is the lowest floor used for guest rooms and are any suitable for disabled (not a wheelchair user) Are all rooms en-suite? Showers and / or bath? How many single rooms are there? Which level is for restaurant and entertainment lounge/bar Thank you in advance.
I think there is only one lift but I didn't use it Our luggage was taken up to our rooms There were a few disabled people on our coach they all managed well not sure what floor they were on As far as I know all rooms are en suite The loung and dining room are on the floor as you enter the hotel ,there are several steps up to the entrance
