Not the Ritz but an excellent hotel particularly for the price. The premises themselves were clean and perfectly adequate (if a little too warm), but the true making of this hotel is the staff and their "can do" attitude which is completely faultless. It's always easy to be critical of any hotel or restaurant, but it really is a pleasure...

Good value hotel with good service and clean rooms. A central location and close to the beach. Buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice. Good choice if you are looking for a hotel to stay in Douglas.

Have to said I have never been to a hotel that made us feel more welcome, we took 4 residents from a nursing home on a 4 day trip, the staff went out of there way 2 make our stay the easiest and most pleasant ever, they even phoned and arranged day trips 4 US. Best staff ever :-)

Had a front facing sea view room with loads of room, we even had a sofa and a coffee table where we could relax and take in the views. All the staff were most helpful and if you needed anything at all you only had to ask. Very well organised hotel.

I'm slightly nervous about paying £59 for a hotel just in case it's a bit rundown. However, I must say I was very impressed with this hotel which sits on the promenade overlooking the sea, in Douglas. Immaculately clean and a very warm welcome from the staff at the reception desk when I arrived. The reception area was bustling with...

We were on the island for a motorcycle rally & stayed in the Chester house over a Friday & Saturday night. It's location is perfect, just minutes from the ferry, restaurants & bars and faces out to sea. The hotel it's self is clean and tidy and all of the staff were really helpful especially the young staff that ran...

This hotel was right on the seafront, and very convenient for central Douglas. However as I had a car, to avoid the time restrictions, i had to park about a mile away. It is a traditional seafront hotel, with multiple buildings joined together, giving it a complex layout with lots of little stairs and lots of doors, so not great...
