Stayed five days with a sea view room. Hotel is in a good location with bus stop outside (can get a bus from airport to this hotel) and near to local shops. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet choice has a very good range of fruit, cereal plus cooked items. Or for extra charge you can order kippers, smoked... More

It is my second day in Sefton. Still a few days to go and i am already considering to get a refund and moving to a different hotel... I am travelling a lot and i never experienced anything of a sort! For 2 consecutive days the cleaning lady demonstrates her hate to me (not sure why) by sweeping garbage from... More

Wonderful staff who went out of the way to be helpful and friendly, even drying our coats afer the rain as we were flying home later that day! Bit dated but wonderfully old fashioned, we liked it everything was cleaned, plenty of tea coffee and biscuits in the room, very quiet over night ,lovely hot shower would stay again .

The location of the hotel is superb, it is just two minutes walking to the beach and two minutes walking to all local amenities, shopping area, restaurants, main bus station... The building is a bit old so the rooms (specially the bathrooms) could be renovated as even if the quality is very good you can see it was built years... More

there isn't much that you could rave about the hotel. it looks nice on the outside but is just uninspired. the corridors are as hot as a sauna. The room was too... 'till we opened the window.. then we found we had our own pet seagull who sat on the windowsill with that look all of our stay. the carpets... More

During my visit to the Isle of Man, I stayed at the Sefton Hotel, which is situated on the Harris Promenade in Douglas. The room I was allocated was on the 4th Floor, which is accessed by the Green Lift, and overlooked the Atrium. The room was a good size, and was nicely decorated and furnished to a high standard.... We grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Harbour Lights restaurant at the Sefton Hotel. We both ordered the fish sandwich. We were not disappointed. The sandwich was a proper door wedge with well cooked fresh fried fish. It came with thick cut chips and home cooked tarter sauce. A satisfying lunch!

Had a sea view room, which was large, the room had everything we needed. the carpets in the hallways need replacing. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast staff were spotlessly clean and efficient. We had a nightmare neighbour with a young child running around til after midnight and after 1am the next night. I was taken very ill on our... More

We stayed for one night on a business trip to the island. The welcome at the reception was good but they made no attempt to make us stay for dinner so we wandered into the town and at in a local curry house. The Hotel itself has definitely seen better days. Access to the reception is via a tiny, creaky,... More
