We would stay here again. Central location and great staff - breakfast best in this type of hotel. No complaints - just perfect. Not sure why you would look further quite frankly - we stayed 2 nights between Xmas and new year, two rooms.

We paid an extra £10 per night to get a sea view room and it was definitely worth it as not only did we have a bigger room, bigger bed, bigger TV with more channels on TV and a sea view that was outstanding. Well worth it. We visited in OCtober and I can only say that as this was...

Right on 'The Front', this hotel ( relatively speaking ) looks fairly imposing and if you're not careful, expectations could run high. In essence, this is your typical Victorian style property that delivers a certain comfort...which could be so much more with further (serious) investment. Everything in terms of the fabric of the place is fine albeit the 'feel' is...

Centrally placed along the promenade the Empress is a great place to stay. However, there are quite a few steps to negotiate both to enter the hotel (alternative way in is possible, but you needed to ask someone to unlock this door when needed) and after using lift to reach our room there were still some steps to negotiate. Food...

We had been given an afternoon tea voucher for two as one of our Christmas presents, and decided that it would end a great Christmas if we went just before getting back to work. Wow, the afternoon tea at the Empress isn't the cheapest, but it offers great value for money. A table at the window overlooking the sea, then...

We came from Peel to have our Christmas lunch at the Empress. We were not disappointed, it was worth the trip. The food was really good well served by polite friendly staff. And the atmosphere created by the pianist/ vocalist gave the hotel a warm Christmas feel. We will be returning in the near future.
