Thank you Ruth and Rob for making the afternoon tea celebration such a memorable event. To quote a member of the group 'Perfect, perfect, perfect' The location and hospitality couldn't have been better. June

Lisle Combe surprised us with its beautiful house and garden. Nothing is done to replace the architect's skillful details by a doubtful modernization. If you want to you can rejoice the peaceful life that the original owner might have wished for his family. Leave stress and pollution of the big city behind. Ideal for body and soul

Thank you for your review and we are glad that you enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Lisle Combe. We are constantly trying to improve the modern connectivity of Lisle Combe but we are in a mobile phone back spot! Wifi is improving........ The house and gardens are a wonderful retreat for all of those who find us!

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful location, a great house and gardens within a short walk of the coastal path. Quiet position but an easy walk to Ventor Botanical Gardens and local coves, lots of wildlife to see, and great service and cracking breakfasts! Highly recommended.

We spent 3 nights in this fantastic B&B. The building is incredible. It's steeped in history and nestled into a beautiful coastal part of the island. We had a very comfortable bedroom, excellent service from the owners and great food. Highly recommended.

A lovely home, full of character but very comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay and were well looked after by Ruth and Robert. Our room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and nicely furnished in a style in keeping with the whole property. There are large gardens going down to their own cove. The house is close to the Botanic...

Lisle Combe is a lovely old manor house in acres of grounds which were once a delightful garden. The house has seen better days but Ruth and Robert are doing their best to keep it up together and it is an interesting house with lovely high ceilings, a grand staircase, mullioned windows, lots of gables, steps up and down into...

A beautiful house in a stunning location. I found it a rare opportunity to stay in a place that's so steeped in history. There's so much to discover - not only all the books and artefacts but the extensive gardens outside and even a secret beach! The house has been in the same family for generations and we got a...

Stepping out of the car into scorching July sunshine, I was immediately struck by the impressive Elizabethan facade of this island stone building, its sandy colour a beach contrast to the sea of bright blue sky above. Two stone dogs guarded the castle-like entrance. Real dogs barked a response to my doorbell, of the friendly, tail-wagging variety, family pets of...

We know this area but the house is so well tucked away that we initially drove straight by before locating it. What a fabulous house crammed full of memorabilia of all sorts. The owners are very accomodating and I wandered around for an hour sampling the bookshelves1 Cream tea was delicious as was the breakfast. We intend to go back...
