We haven't reviewed Hayes Barton since 2013, although we have returned every year since. It remains a lovely, friendly family run hotel. Chris and Joan are excellent hosts, the food is first class and the rooms clean and tastefully decorated. Well behaved dogs are made welcome. We usually come to Hayes Barton earlier in the season but this year we... More

The hotel was lovely and homely and from the minute you entered the hotel we felt at home. Joan and Chris were wonderful. It was nice to be able to relax and not have to worry about the food. I am wheat, lactose and fructose intolerant. We would definitely return again. The location was 5 minutes from Old Shanklin village... More

Ideal for a long week-end on the Isle of Wight. A short walk to Shanklin for something to eat and drink at restaurants and pubs. Park at end of road to walk the dog. Breakfast's as much as you can eat.

Our second visit was just as good as our first. Attentive hosts, good food and comfortable surroundings. The house is well placed too and only a short walk to the old Shanklin village, the beach and some scenic walks. Really couldn't ask for more!

A truly wonderful experience, a short break that felt like a long holiday. As a coeliac the joy of not worrying about food safe to eat was a joy. Lovely room, good location, quiet but very close to facilities - good transport links and good walks.
