we arrived quiet late after the ferry was delayed and a very friendly young man came out to meet us and told us where we could park.Got into the room (a family room) very clean but dated, small on suite, clean bedding ,comfy bed but small (we are used to a kingsize) it was nice to be able to open... My wife and I spent five nights here at the beginning of September, we were using Superbreak vouchers and this was the only hotel on the IOW where we could use them. Previous reviews were spot on and we could not have chosen better. We were able to check in early as we'd caught an earlier ferry and the room... More

Mid week 4 night stay I had a Ground Floor Bedroom , this was pleasantly decorated clean and serviced daily and although it was next to a main road there was nothing to disturb a good nights sleep. The Breakfast had a wonderful choice of all from fresh fruit and cereal to a full English with copious amounts of Tea/Coffee... More

Stayed one night but very good value. £45 including breakfast. Also had a bar snack which was good. Hotel could do with decorating and new carpets but it was very clean and plenty of choice for breakfast including both full English and continental. Bed was also very comfortable.

Friendly owners made us welcome. The room was on the smaller side and clean the en suite was small and had a large step into the shower which was awkward. Breakfast was plentiful, although I would have liked mushrooms instead of black pudding. All in all ok for our one night.

The hotel is a large older building between the beach at Shanklin and the town centre, and as such is ideally located. There is a sizeable car park to the front, a small garden to the side for guest use and space to lock a bike or two overnight to the rear. On the ground floor there is a large... More

Excellent, worth every penny. Was able to check into a single room at 11pm, so quite I took sometime to drop to sleep. Clean, beautiful condition, down side fan in bathroom ran far to long. Breakfast is amazing everything for any nation, laid up with cloths and waitress service, all be it by foreigners. Pity I can't stay here longer,... More

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful. booked for 3 nights but on the day of arrival decided to stay for an extra couple of days. They changed the ferry crossing for us straight away and had no problem with us staying in the same room. The breakfast you are spoilt for choice great selection.... More

Following 7 months of chemo-and radio therapy for breast cancer, it was time for a break. The Marlborough Hotel provided comfortable and clean accommodation and a relaxing atmosphere. The location is close to the beach, the town and the old village all of which were easy to walk to, although we did cheat and use the Cliff Lift a couple... More

We had a very pleasant 3 night stay here and as we normally stay in the old village were a bit worried about trying somewhere different. We needn't have worried as the hotel is ideally situated between the shops, old village and the seafront. The owners were really friendly and our room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was one of the... More
