This lovely hotel is situated right on the promenade in Shanklin. There is a large car park nearby and parking bays on the road right outside the hotel. All are pay and display, but using the PayByPhone app was a doddle and a single payment of £16 covered Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning allowing us to come and go without worrying. We visited in March, so finding a space by the hotel was easy. High season this may not be quite so easy, but the large car park is very close by. We were made welcome the second we walked through the door and shown to our room, which had an amazing view of the sea, beach and promenade. The bed was large and really comfortable. There was also a sofa, desk and tea/coffee etc. The room was immaculate and freshly decorated very tastefully. The en-suite had a large frosted window, making it bright and airy. All the staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive, from the bar staff/waiters to the lady who made up the rooms. The bar has a good selection of ales with ample indoor and outdoor seating. There are infrared heaters outside and blankets provided at every table if you want one. The food choice is excellent with a varied menu. The breakfast included with the B&B reservation had a good selection of hot and cold choices, including cereals and yoghurts. The full English was really good with quality sausages and bacon. Meals are served all day and the evening menu had a wide variety of choices. The surf and turf with chunky, rustic chips was cooked to perfection and highly recommended. After a weekend of exploring the Isle of Wight, taking long walks along the prom from Shanklin to Sandown and enjoyable evenings at the hotel, we left the island feeling totally refreshed and relaxed. I am looking forward to visiting again sometime and will make a point of staying at the Waterfront! If you read this review, please thank all your amazing staff for a lovely break!

Stayed here out of season and absolutely loved it. The room was clean and a great relaxing base. The views from the room were stunning. Fabulous breakfast, delicious evening meal and on top of all that the staff were welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Great coffee too! Can’t recommend this place high enough. Thank you to all the staff who made my first visit to the Isle of Wight so enjoyable!

Double room with sea view and breakfast. Although our room was just a tiny bit ‘tired’ it was very clean and warm and had everything we needed for a very comfortable couple of nights, including tea and coffee etc. with the bonus of a lovely sea view. The addition of a heated blanket in the bed was a lovely touch for this time of year - although we didn’t need it on really as room was very cozy anyway. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and we understand they are working very hard to constantly improve and upgrade their accommodation. Bar and restaurant areas are welcoming, clean and offer a good standard of food and drinks to cater for all tastes. Staff are exceptional and there is always a warm welcome and great service. Highly recommended
