We stayed at the steamer inn on 31st October for the night. It was lovely. Towels and flannels provided which were lovely and soft. Food is excellent and very good portions. Breakfast is lovely. We stay regularly. We will use again.

We stopped here when looking for a quick dinner as the lights and general warmth stood out over other restaurants in the area. We were very pleased to find the welcome and ambience more than we could have hoped for. The meals were good and hot, the tagliatelle carbonara was creamy, well seasoned and very tasty indeed. The smoked haddock... More

Good food, drink and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Greatly positioned on Shanklin seafront. The choice to eat inside or alfresco. Dogs allowd. Eaten here a few times well worth it to meet family or friends.

A charming pub with amazing views of the beach and sea. It's family friendly. Large menu and portions and served to high standard by friendly staff. There are lots of seating both inside and out. We have been there several times and never been disappointed.

Visited with in-laws one evening. We'd pre-booked which was just as well as it was very busy even though nearby restaurants were not. Menu choice was large with something for every taste. We had surf and turf which my husband said was one of the best steaks he'd ever had, the seafood tagliatelle which was excellent, and the macaroni cheese... More

At the beginning of the week we came across The Steamer on our walk & had a drink . The pub was so friendly we made a decision to return one night for a evening meal. We went there on a Thursday night & hadn't booked , that was a mistake it was packed inside but there was a table... More

Used to look forward to eating here but meals are getting increasingly un appetising . Burgers are bland and cheap and the cod was thin and tasteless . Menu needs updating and to find another food supplier. Service and drinks good and still very popular .

This place was a real find on our day trip to the IOW ! Fabulous friendly welcome with attentive staff. Food arrived we ordered fish and chips well it tasted as good as it looked ! Top marks for large portions and presentation! Highly recommended this place and I'd even stay there given the chance!
