This is my second time staying at the Curraghmore Hotel with a large school party and once again we had a brilliant time. Bernie and Lesley are so friendly and welcoming and are just amazing with the children. Nothing is too much bother. The food is delicious and there is more than enough of it. There is a choice of... Thank you for your review we are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us ,we have an average of 1200 children a year who do enjoy themselves. Taking each of your points in order .The room you were in measures at least 6 metres by 4 metres and the reason it would feel cramped is the fact that the... More

Once again I visited this hotel, and the welcome was second to none, excellent food and fantastic location. As a singleton, it is the evenings that can be lonely, but there is always good company in the hotel, provided by Berie and Lesley, the owners, they appreciate the fact that I like to watch 'Corrie' before I go to the... The only thing good about this hotel is its location. It's very close to the Shanklin beach. Otherwise, it was a very disappointing stay for us here. The bathroom had no shower just a tub which was rundown and in need of a good scrub. We stayed 2 nights and our room wasn't cleaned for the entire duration of our... More

Dear Shabana Ansari I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. Firstly let me say that you were given the only room we had left due to the fact that you had booked a double room for two with Expedia and turned up with three people so we did our best to accommodate you in another room... I have stayed at the Curraghmore Hotel many times and would not stay anywhere else on the Isle of Wight. Bernie & Leslie are brilliant hosts and they make sure each guest is treated as an individual and they go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The food was exemplary and the service at meal times was excellent.... More

Just back from an excellent holiday in Shanklin, staying at this splendid and rather idiosyncratic hotel which has great views of the sea and is a five minute walk from the beach. Bernie and Lesley, the hoteliers welcomed us and made us feel very much at home. The family room was large and had everything we needed and if the... More
